We're calling it: Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner have inspired the perfect spring dating trend, and experts agree
It's true: Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner are serving up major springtime dating inspo, and you'll want to follow suit
While many deem the Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner pairing to be less than ideal, we have to give credit where it's due: the two certainly know how to plan a fun and romantic outing.
In the event you haven't heard, the new power couple just opted for a classic outdoor date idea, and we're thinking about copying it. (But we'll take a rain check on that dinner reservation, for sure.)
Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner's horseback-riding date:
Giddy up! Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny ventured over to the Hidden Hills Equestrian Center in Wilsonville, Alabama, for a ride on a few ponies over the weekend of April 1, and judging from TMZ's photo evidence, it appears the two were having quite the time on the trails.
However, we couldn't help but notice that the "Yo Perreo Sola" rapper might not have been quite as experienced as Kenny, who donned riding boots and gloves and literally took the reins during their shared ride on a stallion. Regardless, the active date still seemed to be a perfect way to spend an afternoon with a new significant other.

Dating experts make the case for outdoor activities
While the thought of "fating"—i.e. combining dating with fitness—is less than ideal for the Shy Girl Workout enthusiasts among us, experts encourage singles to get up and go while mingling with a new suitor.
"Unlike a dinner date where you’re stationary and focused on exploring conversational topics, a fitness or activity-based date forces you (in a good way!) to be present and address whatever is happening at that moment," Shannon Smith, dating expert at Plenty of Fish previously told My Imperfect Life. "Conversation can flow more naturally."
You definitely don't have to go as all-out as if you were venturing to an Orange Theory class, but a little physical activity can actually go a long way. (No, we weren't referring to that type of physical activity, but if we've piqued your curiosity, do check out the popular 2023 sex trends according to experts.)
Shannon is the resident dating expert at Plenty of Fish, a Match Group dating app with personalized connection options that help "create the same magic online that you would IRL."
With an activity like horseback riding, or perhaps even bouldering or simply walking around your neighborhood, you can expect a boost in your mood *and* interactions.
"When we exercise or do anything fitness-related, our endorphins get elevated, and our 'feel-good' neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine and the 'love and bonding chemical,' oxytocin all rise, resulting in a better chance for a love connection," said Jaime Bronstein, a licensed therapist and the author of MAN*ifesting: A Step-By-Step Guide to Attracting the Love That's Meant for You.
Jaime Bronstein, LCSW is a relationship therapist, coach, and host of “Love Talk Live” on LA Talk Radio. Her book, MAN*ifesting: A Step-by-Step Guide to Attracting the Love That Is Meant for You, is now available for purchase.
Other fun outdoor date ideas to consider:
Convinced now? Like horseback riding, there are plenty of other physical activities that will require you to put in some muscle but won't force you to go overboard. (Nobody wants to be in a full sweat on a first date, right?) If you're expecting some sunshine and looking forward to meeting someone new, why not opt for one of the following activities:
- Kayaking
- Paddle boarding
- Mini golfing
- Rollerblading
- Biking
- Hiking
- Bouldering
