The 'Barbie Manifestation Method' on TikTok adds a dash of pink to the wellness scene

'Imagination, life is your creation'—or so says the 'Barbie Manifestation Method'

The "Barbie Manifestation Method" is earning viral status on TikTok, so we'd have to agree with Aqua: "Imagination, life is your creation."

In the event you weren't aware, a Barbiecore moment has imploded (like those Barbie vs. Oppenheimer memes) ahead of the film's premiere on Friday, July 21. Mattel's queen has seemingly crept into all aspects of our lives, from fashion (these Barbie outfits are a must) to home decor (don't miss the Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge series on HGTV).

As we scan our #FYPs, it appears that our pink princess has also ventured over into the wellness space, and we're definitely here for it. Here's what's happening and how to join the fun.

What is the 'Barbie Manifestation Method' on TikTok?

A simple manifestation practice with our leading lady in mind, the 'Barbie Manifestation Method' is a journaling exercise meant to help us map out our goals and everything we desire, dreamhouse and all.

And, when you stop to think about it, is there a heroine more badass than Barbie? She's excelled in countless careers. She has plenty of friends. She's in love with Ken. The girl's got her situation on lock, and she has since her inception over 60 years ago. We'd be remiss not to follow in her path (but maybe we'll take a break from the heels since the Barbie Foot Challenge is just that: a challenge).

How do you do the 'Barbie Manifestation Method'?

Grab a notebook (preferably pink) and jot down four categories:

  • Dream House
  • Dream Love
  • Dream Job
  • Dream Car

Akin to playing MASH—you remember those middle school sleepovers—this exercise asks you to scribble notes about what you want for each category. Perhaps your dreamhouse has a pink room with all things Fuchsia. Maybe you're eyeing more of a Barbenheimer relationship than a typical Barbie/Ken relationship. Whatever your desires, make a note.

But Barbie's manifestation ritual takes things a step further by adding gratitude to the mix. You're also supposed to write down what you love in each category. Then, close it all off with an affirmation at the end of each section: "I will excel in the office." "I will find the love I'm looking for." Even though Barbie's going to be going through a bit of an existential crisis, she's never one to stop being positive. Let's take that mantra a step further.

We'll be sure to start writing ahead of the Barbie premiere on July 21. We have a feeling it's going to be a pink experience like no other.

"Our goal is to be like, 'Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different—the thing you didn’t know you wanted," Robbie told The Hollywood Reporter in December 2020 about her iconic role.

We can't wait to see what Greta Gerwig and her team have manifested on screen. Right now, we'll be manifesting those blush wine glasses and pink pillows on Real Homes' shopping list for our own Malibu dreamhouse.
