Who's who in the cast of 'The White Lotus' season 2?
Who is checking in this season? Let's get to know the cast of 'The White Lotus' season 2
We know Jennifer Coolidge is back (even Ariana Grande is obsessed), but who else is in the cast of The White Lotus season 2, hitting HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, October 30?
The first season of the HBO series, which followed the privileged guests of the fictional luxury resort The White Lotus in Maui, was a surefire commercial and critical success, winning the 2022 Emmy for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series as well as awards for writing and directing for show creator Mike White and the performances of supporting actors Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge.
So it was no surprise that we'd see a second season—albeit with an almost entirely new cast of vacationers and a fresh filming location, swapping out the tropics of Hawaii for the beaches of Italy. But who will be checking into The White Lotus resort come October 30? Let's get to know the cast of The White Lotus season 2 and the characters they play.
The cast of 'The White Lotus' season 2: who's who?
1. Aubrey Plaza
The sardonic American actress—whom you know from TV series like Parks and Recreation and movies like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Ingrid Goes West and Happiest Season—plays Harper Spiller, a woman traveling to Sicily with her husband and his college friends. "Our story exists with our little foursome, but there are moments when some of the characters overlap, like in the first season," Plaza teased to Cosmpolitan.
2. Will Sharpe
Playing Harper's husband Ethan Spiller is London-born, Tokyo-raised actor Will Sharpe, who is best known for writing, directing, and starring in the Channel 4 black comedy Flowers. Sharpe's tech bro Ethan is newly wealthy after some recent professional success. "I think he and his wife, Harper (Aubrey Plaza), are also trying to determine if this money they've newly come into has changed who they are, or has it, in a funny way, not changed who they are at all?" Sharpe told Dazed.
3. Theo James
Theo James, the 37-year-old Brit most recently seen in the film Mr. Malcolm's List and the series The Time Traveler's Wife, plays Ethan Spiller's college roommate, Cameron Sullivan. James' Cameron is reportedly wealthy and, ahem, well-endowed, with the actor gamely stripping down for the role.
"The initial version we shot was way too much. So, we did a more subtle version," he revealed to Entertainment Tonight. "They toned it [down]." However, he insights the character's nudity serves a purpose. “It’s interesting, [because] at first…we don’t know whether it’s deliberate or [if] it’s accidental. But it reveals itself.”
4. Meghann Fahy
The Bold Type fans will certainly recognize Meghann Fahy, who plays Cameron's wife and stay-at-home mom Daphne Sullivan. Fun fact: Fahy actually originally auditioned for Alexandra Daddario's role of Rachel in the first season of The White Lotus.
5. Jennifer Coolidge
Yes, Queen Coolidge is back, reprising her Emmy Award-winning role of Tanya McQuoid—now Tanya McQuoid-Hunt (hint, hint)—"a wealthy, unstable woman" traveling with her husband and her assistant to a The White Lotus property in Sicily.
6. Haley Lu Richardson
Known for her roles in Columbus, Edge of Seventeen and Five Feet Apart, Haley Lu Richardson plays Portia in The White Lotus season 2, "a small-town girl and recent college graduate" hoping to experience some adventure while traveling with her boss Tanya.
7. Jon Gries
Jon Gries joins Jennifer Coolidge as the only two actors to be in both seasons of The White Lotus, playing Greg Hunt, Tanya's swim-loving suitor from season 1 and now husband in season 2, "who is less than pleased to find her assistant invited on their romantic getaway."
8. Michael Imperioli
Michael Imperioli—who scored one Emmy award and four more nominations for his turn as Christopher Moltisanti on The Sopranos—plays Dominic Di Grasso, an Italian-American Hollywood producer exploring his ancestral roots with both his father and son.
It's a storyline inspired by a trip that The White Lotus creator Mike White took with his own father in Sweden. “[Mike and I] spoke about the importance of making peace with our parents,” Imperioli told Empire. “Life is short and fleeting and fragile. Maybe there’s hope to have some kind of reconciliation before the end.”
9. F. Murray Abraham
Bert Di Grasso, portrayed by F. Murray Abraham, is the eldest of the Di Grasso men. He is "getting frail, yet still sees himself as virile and capable," says HBO's official character description. Abraham, of course, won the Academy Award and a Golden Globe for his leading role as Antonio Salieri in the 1984 drama film Amadeus.
10. Adam DiMarco
Rounding out the vacationing Di Grasso gents is Albie, "a sweet and observant college grad, who often serves as his family’s peacekeeper," played by 32-year-old Canadian actor Adam DiMarco. "We're on a family vacation right now and it's just the three of us because all the women in our family hate you," the character says in the trailer, so we can definitely expect some family drama within this trio.
Thankfully, things seemed to go smoother behind the scenes. "I did feel somewhat of a familial connection with [Michael] and Murray," DiMarco said of his The White Lotus dad to TODAY. "He has such good, grounding energy to be around, especially since I was pretty anxious coming into the show. He was like an anchor, unmoored."
11. Sabrina Impacciatore
The White Lotus season 2 doesn't deal as closely with the hotel staff this time around, but we do see some behind-the-scenes hospitality action courtesy "passionate, dedicated," portrayed by Italian actress-comedian Sabrina Impacciatore.
12. Tom Hollander
English actor Tom Hollander—featured in films like Pride & Prejudice, About Time and Bohemian Rhapsody—joins the cast of The White Lotus season 2 as expat Quentin, who is vacationing in Italy with his friends and nephew.
13. Leo Woodall
A "magnetic guest" staying at the hotel, Leo Woodall's Jack is the nephew of Quentin.
14. Simona Tabasco
As part of the cast's Italian contingent, 28-year-old Naples-born actress Simona Tabasco plays a local Sicilian woman named Lucia "who frequents the White Lotus resort in search of work and opportunity amongst the wealthy clientele."
15. Beatrice Grannò
Known for portraying Anna Ricci in the Italian sci-fi Netflix series Zero, Rome-born actress Beatrice Grannò joins the hit HBO title as Mia, a talented singer from Sicily in search of her big break.

When she’s not doing all that, she can probably be found eating cheese somewhere.
