Chris Evans’ dating history—Who has Chris Evans dated and is he in a relationship now? 

While Chris is very private about his dating life, he has previously discussed what he's been looking for out of a relationship and seemingly found...

In an interview with Shondaland on The Gray Man press tour, the actor revealed that he was looking for something serious. He said: “[I'm] laser-focused on finding a partner, you know, someone that you want to live—look, I love what I do, it's great, I pour all of myself into it, but—even this industry is full of pockets of doubt, hesitation, and recalibration.

“In terms of really trying to find something that you really pour all of yourself into, maybe it's about trying to find someone that you're looking to spend your life with. So maybe that.” It’s giving Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter vibes!

So, now we’ve established what Chris was looking for—who is he dating right now and how has he dated previously?

Alba Baptista (2021-Now)

Starting with the most important question, just who is Chris Evans' girlfriend? Well after months of rumors, it's been confirmed that Chris is dating Warrior Nun actress, Alba Baptista. But if these recent murmurings are anything to go by, they might not be just boyfriend-girlfriend for much longer but we'll get to that in a minute...

Circling back to the beginning of the romance,  rumors were sparked after sleuthing fans spotted that she had followed Chris on Insta in 2021, along with a number of his family members. 

This spooky season then stirred up even more rumors after Chris posted a picture of two carved pumpkins to Instagram that were a perfect match to the pumpkins Alba, at the time, had as her profile picture.

Around the same time, Chris has also liked a number of her Instagram posts—which is usually a modern-day indication that there’s some interest there and now People have confirmed that they are, in fact, an item!

A source told the magazine that they've been dating for over a year now, adding that our fave Avenger has 'never been happier.' Too wholesome!

The source revealed that things are getting 'serious' between them and said: "They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her."

Since then, the pair have made their relationship Instagram official, with Chris posting a hilarious series of clips to his story in January 2023, of him and Alba jumping out and scaring each other. As if that wasn't cute enough, to mark Valentine's Day he then shared a rare glimpse into their relationship by posting a series of intimate snaps (also to his story) from the pair hiking together to posing for selfies.

Alba was also spotted supporting Chris at the premiere of Ghosted, which he's starring in alongside Ana De Armas on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.  While they didn't treat us to a red carpet pic, they were spotted by onlookers looking as cute together as always...

Then on May 12, 2023, the sound of hearts shattering across the globe could be heard far and wide (okay, not really but it was an emotional day for sure), after anonymous gossip account Deuxmoi claimed that Alba and Chris were engaged.

According to a source, the pair were planning to get married in Boston this fall but as of yet, neither Chris nor Alba have commented on or confirmed the news. Though, being that autumn is mere weeks away, an update could come our way very soon...

Chris and Selena Gomez (October 2021)

Yes, we all remember this rather scrumptious rumor but alas it seems it was indeed just a rumor. The Chris/Selena saga was seemingly sparked after Chris followed Selena Gomez on Instagram in 2021.

Things were then fuelled further after Selena was spotted wearing a cream cable knit jumper, similar to the one Chris famously wore in Knives Out. But let’s be honest, who doesn’t own a cream Rory Gilmore-esque knit? So, it’s hardly damning evidence—plus Selena Gomez is rumored to be dating The Bear's Jeremy Allen-White.

Chris and Lizzo (April 2021)

Lizzo herself sparked romance rumors with Chris after she shared a number of TikTok videos revealing her drunk DMs to him which included the puff of smoke, an athlete and basketball emoji (which apparently stands for shooting one's shot.)

He responded like a true gent saying: “No shame in a drunk DM 😘 God knows I’ve done worse of this app lol🤦‍♂️”—which prompted Lizzo to relatably fan-girl, especially after he subsequently went on to follow her on Instagram, but that was the end of that.

Chris and Lily James (2020)

Now onto the more tangible relationships—Chris was linked to actress Lily James in the summer of 2020, after they were spotted hanging out and looking pretty cozy.

Sadly for us though, neither Lily nor Chris confirmed their relationship…

Chris and Jenny Slate (2016-2017)

Chris dated Jenny Slate (known for her roles in the likes of Big Mouth and Parks and Recreation) in 2016 after they met on the set of The Gift.

Sadly though they split after a few months, with Jenny hinting to Vulture that the level of his fame may have contributed.

She said: “Chris is a very, very famous person. For him to go to a restaurant is totally different than for me to go.”

Jenny did however give us a precious insight into what Chris is like to date, adding, “He’s really vulnerable, and he’s really straightforward. He’s like primary colors. He has beautiful, big, strong emotions, and he’s really sure of them. It’s just wonderful to be around. His heart is probably golden-colored, if you could paint it.”

Chris and Lily Collins (2015)

Chris reportedly briefly dated Emily In Paris herself, Lily Collins in 2015, with US Weekly breaking the news, with a source at the time claiming their relationship was in ‘just the beginning stages,’ adding “But they're having a lot of fun and seeing where it goes."

Chris and Sandra Bullock (2014)

What an iconic Hollywood pairing! These two were rumored to have been seeing each other in 2014—but Sandy B seemingly debunked the claims by joining in on the romance buzz. 

She joked to Entertainment Tonight: “We've since married and it started breaking apart, so we separated.” 

Chris and Minka Kelly (2012-2013)

Chris and Minka were reportedly on-and-off before going their separate ways for good in 2013.
