The 'skin scent' fragrance layering trick to steal from Gigi Hadid
Gigi Hadid's perfume layering trick is gorge
Get ready to smell like a supermodel, as we've got the lowdown Gigi Hadid's perfume layering trick that creates the ultimate 'skin scent'...
If you've ever found that some of the best perfumes for women just aren't you, or the blend of perfumes notes of your everyday scent seems to be missing something, it might be time to take a leaf out of Gigi Hadid's fragrance routine and start mixing your scents.
Yes, according to the Next in Fashion host's makeup artist, Gigi wears, not one, but two scents together that leave her smelling like a literal rose garden. So, if you're a lover of floral perfumes, or just want to up your scent game, here's the secret to Gigi's sweet-smelling reputation.
Gigi Hadid's fragrance layering trick
While Gigi Hadid's outfits are always a dopamine-boosting dream, her aroma is apparently equally pleasing.
Much like Rihanna's favorite perfume, it seems Gigi has her own secret (or not-so-secret) scent arsenal that leaves everyone she meets clamoring to get a hold of her perfumes—case in point, Gigi's own MUA, Erin Parsons.

Parsons took to TikTok to bless us all with the scoop on Gigi Hadid's favorite perfumes, revealing that she layers two long-lasting scents together—My Burberry Black and Lily Aldridge's Haven. Parsons describes the concoction as a 'skin scent'—a similar idea to scents like Glossier You (which is now at Sephora!) that are designed to smell different on everyone, creating a personal 'you' scent.
Burberry My Burberry Black
RRP: $99
The base layer of Gigi's viral perfume combo, My Burberry Black, boasts notes of 'sun-drenched jasmine flower, candied rose, amber patchouli.'
The scent itself is described as a warm, spicy and floral scent that's 'layerable'—so it might be a great one to try with any of your long-lasting perfumes.
In the video, Parson spritzes the Burberry perfume saying: "the Burberry smells so good," describing it as a fresh, floral but spicy scent, "but when you mix this [Haven] on top of it—and I'm going to do a couple of sprays of this—this fragrance...it's like poetry."
She adds that Haven is floral, fresh, green and a little fruity adding: "you literally feel like you're walking into a garden of roses and oranges—it's so good." We're sold.
Alas, Haven (with its notes of mandarin orange, rose, freesia, musk, smber and cedar) has now been discontinued, but the hope is that Lily Aldridge might bring back the dreamy scent—especially with fans now knowing that it's one of Gigi's favorites and Parsons' video now reaching viral status.
Until then though, there are a ton of alternatives that feature a very similar blend of rose, musks and fruity notes—and yes, we've found you some below...
LE LABO Rose 31 Eau de Parfum
RRP: $97
This floral scent is a great swap for 'Haven' with its blend of rose absolute, cumin, vetiver, musks, cedar, agarwood, amber, guaiac wood and citrus.
It's floral but spicy, making it the perfect unisex scent. Plus, it's also a vegan and cruelty-free perfume!
Chloé Rose Tangerine Eau de Toilette
RRP: $76
Chloé Rose Tangerine is also dubbed as a 'layerable' scent with its notes of tangerine essence, rose absolute and blackcurrant absolute.
BYREDO Young Rose Eau de Parfum
RRP: $200
This scent from Byredo features a blend of ambrette seeds, Sichuan pepper, orris, and Damascena rose, with musk and ambroxan.
'Palermo' is also another great, rose and fruity alternative to Lily Aldridge's 'Haven.'
So, if you've been on the hunt for the ultimate, celeb-approved signature scent, why not take Gigi's combo for a spin? P.S. be sure to try the vaseline perfume trick, to really lock in that floral bouquet.
