The MTV Movie Awards—actually now known as the MTV Movie & TV Awards—will keep you busy this weekend, but the famed show is doing things a little differently this year.

Rather than limit the fun to one evening, fans can celebrate pop culture on two nights with the awards show's follow-up ceremony, the MTV Movie & TV Awards Unscripted, a nod to reality television. (Yes, you'll need an extra bowl of popcorn for the occasion.)

To get you prepped for all of the star-studded antics that will no doubt go down this weekend, here's everything you need to know about this year's MTV Movie Awards, including who is nominated across TV (yay Bridgerton and Bling Empire!) and film (Promising Young Woman FTW!).

When are the MTV Movie Awards?

The MTV Movie Awards 2021 will take place on Sunday, May 16 at 9pm ET. It will follow up with the MTV Movie & TV Awards Unscripted on Monday, May 17 at 9pm ET. The first of its kind show, Unscripted will be a celebration of all-things reality TV. (We're looking at you, Tiger King fans.)

Who is hosting the MTV Movie Awards?

Leslie Jones will be hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday night and Nikki Glaser will act as host of the MTV Movie & TV Awards Unscripted on Monday night.
