Who plays John B from 'Outer Banks'? Meet the hunk behind the beloved character
You know *all* about his IRL love life, but who is the actor playing John B from 'Outer Banks'?
We've officially reunited with John B from Outer Banks, now that a brand new season of Pogues adventures has hit Netflix as of Thursday, February 23. But what about the actor behind the treasure-hunting teen hero?
The star's real-life former romance with actress Madelyn Cline, who portrays Sarah Cameron in the series, got everyone's attention—alas the TV power couple broke up in November 2021, only months before starting production on Outer Banks season 3—but now we want to get to the know the actor one-on-one.
Here's what to know about who plays the Prince of the Pogues himself, John B from Outer Banks. (Oh, and if you're feeling inspired by the group's fashion, check out these A+ Outer Banks outfits that absolutely scream "Summer!")
Meet Chase Stokes, a.k.a. John B from 'Outer Banks':
John B from Outer Banks is played by none other than American heartthrob Chase Stokes.
That OBX third season was surely an adventurous one (here's that Outer Banks season 3 ending explained, in case you want an in-depth breakdown of what went on with your favorite characters), and Stokes was certainly up for the challenge.
"We're hoping that people really attach to the story and continue to kind of fall in love with the journey of not just the Pogues, but the entire world of Outer Banks," the actor revealed to Cosmopolitan UK.
But where else have we seen John B...err, we mean Chase Stokes before?

Chase Stokes movies and TV shows: what has he starred in?
In addition to Outer Banks, Stokes has featured in the film Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets (2021), the series Tell Me Your Secrets (2021), 2018's Between Waves and 2010's In Between Days, to name a few.
When he's not shipwrecked in OBX, he's gearing up for three upcoming projects coming our way in 2023, according to his IMDB page: Uglies, Valiant One and Marked Men.
Who did Chase Stokes play in 'Stranger Things'?
There's plenty going on in Hawkins, Indiana, so you might've missed Stokes in Stranger Things as Reed in the debut season. And yes, his former girlfriend Madelyn Cline also made an appearance in the sci-fi drama. (Psst: here's the scoop on Stranger Things season 5.)
Chase Stokes' age: how old is he?
Born on September 16, 1992, the star is currently 30 years old (and a Virgo). He plays someone nearly half his age in OBX, as John B is just 17.

Chase Stokes' girlfriend: who is he dating?
Though he and Madelyn Cline are no longer dating at this point (but remain co-stars), there are rumors on the Chase Stokes girlfriend front. At this time, he's currently seeing country pop singer, Kelsea Ballerini.
After a few images surfaced of the two on Instagram, people's interest was piqued, and the star himself seemingly admitted to the relationship, as he told TMZ: "She's a sweet girl. We're having a good time and that's all I'll say."
(And yes, there is an update on the Madelyn Cline boyfriend news, though the actress is trying to keep her love life out of the spotlight this go-around.)
Who is Chase Stokes' family?
Born in Annapolis, Maryland, to Jeff Stokes and Jennifer Canning, Chase is one of three children, including his siblings Kaden and Kendall Nicole. He keeps his family life relatively quiet, but you can catch a few snaps of the Stokes crew on Instagram.
