It's summertime, but the cosmos aren't slowing down: July astrology events are aplenty, even throughout the slow-mo Cancer season.

When is the next full moon? What astrology season is it? We have all the answers to your burning Q's, and astrologer-backed tips for dealing with whatever the celestial beings throw our way.

Let's dive in! (Oh, and if you haven't seen our editor-approved list of gifts astrology fans need, now's the time to think about a candle or crystal purchase.)

July astrology events 2022

1. Vesta retrograde

  • When: July 8 to October 5, 2022

Though planets tend to get attention before the asteroids, Vesta retrograde is fairly significant, especially when dealing with internal emotions. It'll move through Pisces and Aquarius, all while asking us to focus on our inner flame and what keeps that fire burning.

"When you're diving a little deeper into the space of self-realization and connecting to the energy of your purpose or love, unpacking and understanding the energy of the asteroids can really help you find a stronger way of tapping into divine femininity," says Noush an astrologer at Girl and Her Moon.

2. Full Moon

  • When: July 13, 2022

The July buck moon in Capricorn is not fooling around. This somewhat stern atmosphere is going to force you to make sure all of your ducks are in a row

"Capricorn can be a more challenging energy to be in," admits numerologist and astrologer Kaitlyn Kaerhart. "It's really grounded and earthy, but it's also ruled by Saturn, so it's about being practical."

3. Chiron retrograde

  • When: July 15 to December 23, 2022

Chiron retrograde often asks us to deal with emotional issues head-on. While it might seem like a fairly unwelcome transit, it does have its benefits and it will ultimately put you on the right path.

4. Leo season

  • When: July 22 to August 22, 2022

When is Leo season? The fiery energy will be here soon.

"Leo season is all about seeing friends, building up your confidence, and perhaps engaging in an art form,” astrologer Renée Watt previously told My Imperfect Life. "You'll want to invest your energy in people and activities that make you feel like a strong, proud person."

5. Juno retrograde

  • When: July 24 to October 22, 2022

During Juno's retrograde, expect things to get personal and ask yourself a lot of questions. It'll likely lead to a few a-ha moments throughout the season.

6. New moon

When is the next new moon? We'll have to wait for the tail-end of the month for its good vibes.

"With a trine to Jupiter, it's a really positive energy that’s motivating and inspiring a new beginning in the space of creativity and your inner child and how you are expressing that playful energy to the world," Noush says.

7. Jupiter retrograde

  • When: July 28 to November 23, 2022

In 2022, Jupiter will be in retrograde in Aries and then move back to Pisces. Jupiter can help us reach new territories and at times feel a little exhausting. (It's the fastest-moving planet, after all.) Take things one day at a time and enjoy whatever the universe decides to bring.
