For those who don’t know (or need to catch up—here’s how to watch Love Island from anywhere) Luca is currently coupled up with Gemma Owen after choosing her over Paige during the season's first recoupling. So far the Brighton fishmonger has found himself in a bit of a love triangle—and looks set to join another one which Gemma’s ex wondering into the villa.

Despite his so-far restless behavior in the villa, Luca is actually a bit of a relationship guy it seems, after revealing in his Love Island intro that he’s been single for a year, following a four-year-long relationship.

Luca Bish and Sophie Floyd

Luca Bish’s ex is actually a popular beauty influencer called Sophie Floyd. She’s also a Brighten local and works as a tattoo artist and serious Instagrammer, with over 300 thousand followers and more than 250 thousand followers on her YouTube channel. She’s also collaborated with Staxx jewelry and brought out her own collection.

Why did Luca Bish and Sophie Floyd break up?

Sophie actually revealed their breakup during one of her videos, sharing that he had been 'massively disrespectful' to her.

While she didn’t reveal details she did say: “It's a lot. I've been dealing with that and all the things that come with that. Very sudden, very unexpected, weird. We've been together since we were like 17 so it's such a long time to grow up with someone... We were literally best friends."

She then continued: "It feels very similar to grief that I've felt before. He's maybe not who he was and he's maybe not who I thought he was as well, which is f*****g hard to deal with.

“He did f*****g hurt me and he was massively disrespectful to me towards the end, which is why I kind of just had to put things to bed and move forward.”

In her explainer, Sophie added that she wouldn't 'say a bad word about him' and wanted to just move on from it and remember the good times.

While neither Luca nor Sophie has revealed exactly why they broke up, Luca did start dating influencer Saffron Barker—who is also reportedly a former school friend of Sophie (and was part of Strictly Come Dancing 2019 edition)—a few months later, before they too went their separate ways…
