In January 2022, she was rumored to be dating author Sam Koppelman after they were spotted attending a basketball game together, with celebrity gossip account, DeuxMoi, posting a number of blind items about the pair (as per Elle). 

Fans have also theorized that she and Euphoria season one co-star, Lukas Gage were something of an item since 2022, but now it appears that the two are definitely just friends, with Lukas hinting at his own new relationship—yes, we'll get to that later!

In 2022, rumors began swirling around Maude and Lukas (who played Tyler in Euphoria season one), with Maude's sister Iris, jokingly stirring the speculation by 'confirming' the match.  

However, unlike that of co-stars Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike—who did actually date—these were indeed, just rumors. Maude and Lukas are just close friends, with Maude even posting a cute snap of the pair together on Thursday, February 22, 2023 with the caption: "I love u."

In fact, as of February 2023, it's now rumored that Lukas is actually dating celeb hairstylist, Chris Appleton after Lukas posted a few snaps of them together while on holiday in Mexico. Hailey Bieber's makeup artist Mary Philips, commented saying: "IG official," with a heart emoji, while Maude herself posted a trio of heart-eye emojis.

This though has caught some fans by surprise, with many convinced that Maude and Lukas had been dating this whole time—one fan even reshared the news of Lukas and Chris, tweeting: "why did i think lukas gage was dating maude apatow."
