Meet the cast of the Gossip Girl reboot 2021
It's time to get to know the Gossip Girl reboot 2021 cast...
With the show airing in less than a month (!!!), it's time to get familiar with the Gossip Girl reboot 2021 cast.
The highly anticipated remake of the most iconic show to date (yes, we have no qualms claiming that) is coming to HBO Max next month, with 10 hour-long episodes to delve into and frankly, our excitement is through the roof.
While we'll be the first to admit that we were wary when news of a Gossip Girl reboot was announced with a brand-new set of Gen-Z Upper East Siders, the new Gossip Girl trailer and first-look images of the cast have us sold immediately. The new show will follow the lives of Manhattan's present-day elite—in other words, we'll be getting to know a new generation of private-school teens from New York's wealthiest circle.
“Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl,” the show's summary reads, according to Deadline. “The prestige series will address just how much social media—and the landscape of New York itself—has changed in the intervening years.”
Just like old times, original cast member Kristen Bell is back to narrate the forthcoming series, returning as the voice of Gossip Girl. However, it has been confirmed that none of the other stars from the original show, including Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, and Chase Crawford will be returning. So, who are the new stars of the show? Let's find out!

Who is in the Gossip Girl reboot 2021 cast?
The new cast will reflect today's Gen-Z voices, with a much more progressive approach to the characters than the original show, which has since been criticized for its lack of diversity.
First up, Canadian actress/singer Jordan Alexander plays Julien Calloway, who is a teen influencer. Some of you may recognize Jordan from other TV shows like Sacred Lies and Unbury the Biscuit.

Actress and musician Emily Alyn Lind plays It-girl Audrey Hope, the daughter of an athleisure designer. As well as being in a relationship with Aki, Audrey is best friends with Julien and is described by Lind as being "very into the finer things in life."
If you think Lind looks familiar, that's because she previously starred in the ABC series Revenge as young Amanda Clarke, as well as CBS medical drama Code Black, where she played Ariel.

Samantha Smith, who is still an undergrad student at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, plays Monet de Haan. Meanwhile, Zión Moreno, of Netflix’s Mexican teen drama Control Z, stars as Luna. According to Cosmopolitan, the two "fill Greek-chorus-type roles but are still fully fleshed-out characters with inner lives of their own."

17-year-old Whitney Peak plays Zoya Lott, our answer to Dan Humphrey in the reboot. Zoya is our relatable (or as retable as it gets anyway) guide into the luxury lifestyle of the Upper East Side.
Peak has previously starred in a number of episodes of Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, where she played Judith Blackwood. She has also had small roles in the Oscar-nominated film Molly's Game and the CW's iZombie.

Our answer to a Gen-Z Nate Archibald, Eli Brown plays Otto “Obie” Bergmann IV. Obie is a "rich do-gooder and German import."
Actor/singer Eli is known for his role as Dylan Walker on Freeform's Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. He also starred in two films in 2020, The F**k-It List and Run Hide Fight.

Thomas Doherty—who is probably the most-known cast member thanks to his roles on Disney's Descendants 2, HBO's Catherine the Great, and Hulu's High Fidelity—plays Max Wolfe. When asked by Cosmopolitan whether Max makes out with boys, the actor said: "Yes, I do get naked, and yes, I do indulge.”
