Neptune is going direct in Pisces, and it'll be a 'hopeful and compassionate' time

Did anyone else notice Neptune direct 2022 make an appearance in their weekly horoscope? 

We practically forgot about the planet of intuition and spirituality, considering Neptune retrograde got underway in June. For the last six months, we've been subtly experiencing the celestial GPS work its magic and steer us in the proper direction. 

"It’s revealing, and it’s a good energy to redirect us out of an illusionary state if you’re holding onto something that isn’t necessarily real, or a process that is not really connecting to your soul," astrologer Noush told us about the event. 

Now that it will be moving forward once more, here's everything we can expect from the transit.

Neptune Direct 2022: what you need to know

Beginning December 4, in the midst of Sagittarius season, Neptune will start to move forward in Pisces, just like Jupiter direct. As astrologer Liz Simmons notes, this a time of hopefulness and compassion.

"There will be this undeniable absolution in love and a general feeling of surrendering to the unknown without fear," she says. "Direct Neptune may even elevate our creativity, allowing us to explore our fantastical side through our intuition and emotional expression."

Coincidentally, Jupiter direct is a wonderful time to tackle creative projects and put our dreams into action, so we're fully ready to soak up that Pisces energy and make the most out of the water sign.

Heck, at this rate you might not even feel Mars retrograde slowing you down. (Thank goodness for that—this retrograde is practically worse than anything Mercury could send our way.)

After a bit of turbulence in late and October and early November—we don't need to remind you about the 2022 eclipse season, right?—it's refreshing to hear that the universe is taking a breather, but that's not to say Neptune direct is not without its challenges. Though Simmons says it's an "uplifting" transit, we have to approach our boundaries carefully. 

"Direct Neptune can also heighten a lack of boundaries through boundlessness, escapism through imagination and poor coping mechanisms," she says. "Although we may view our world with a whimsical lens, we might also be looking through our rose-colored glasses. Maintaining discernment will be more challenging once Neptune is direct since there is a desire to play into our hopes, wishes and dreams."
