The 'joyful' and 'harmonious' November 2022 new moon in Sagittarius is exactly what we need right now
Welcome the November 2022 new moon's good vibes! It's a stark contrast from that serious eclipse season
We are very much ready for the November 2022 new moon in Sagittarius. Our recent lunar phases have been a little rough—eclipse season and the November 2022 full moon did not mess around—so we're happy to hear we're on the uptick!
What better way to wrap up the end of the year (and prep for the holiday season) than with some good vibes?
"This is the most harmonious new moon we have had in a long time which will make us feel like we are turning a corner," says astrologer Desiree Roby Antila. "This is a great time to set intentions on things that you want to learn or places you want to travel to within the next six months."
Allow the celestial pros to fill you in on the next new moon and how it will affect you, depending on your birth chart.

November 2022 new moon in Sagittarius: what to know
- When: November 23, 2022
We're bound to get a little prosperity our way, and we're welcoming it with open arms and a glass of moon water.
"This is an optimistic new moon that makes an out of sign trine to its ruler, Jupiter and Neptune which are both operating strongly in their domicile of Pisces," Roby Antila says. "Jupiter also turns direct exactly at the time of the new moon which is particularly auspicious. There is a sense of hope and forward momentum which will be refreshing coming out of eclipse season."
We heard that loud and clear!
Who will be most affected by the new moon in Sagittarius?
"If you have planets or angles in Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) in the first decan, you will especially be feeling this charge up," Roby Antila says.
Regardless of how your star sign will affect you during this lunation, astrologer Liz Simmons recommends taking advantage of the energy of the "joyful" event.
"Since this is a fiery new moon, you could make the most out of it by writing your wishes on a bay leaf and burning the bay leaf. Bay leaves are excellent vessels to make our wishes known to the spirit world, especially once burned," she says. "Once you burn your bay leaf, release any expectations of what this new moon will bring you, and express gratitude to the universe for the opportunity to move forward!

How will the new moon in Sagittarius affect each sign?
Patrick Price, an astrologer at Nebula, did a deep dive to uncover how this particular moon phase is going to affect all members of the zodiac. Consider it his astrology gift to you!
"The November New Moon is unique in the sense that it is asking for something similar for most of the zodiac signs. It is encouraging us all to take a moment to hibernate," Price says. "Whilst this act may apply to most of the signs this new moon, the purpose is different for each of the zodiac."
He continues, "For example, Geminis are encouraged to use this space to reflect on the journey that has brought them to this point, whereas Libras are encouraged to use this downtime to let go of the things they have lost so they can move forward."

Aries
It's been a busy time for you, Aries. Now is the time to enjoy a little rest and make the most of what's in front of you rather than skip ahead to what's next. Enjoy the present!
"You may have been working hard lately and are possibly feeling overwhelmed because you have been spreading yourself thin," Price says. "The good news is that the new moon is offering you a chance to slow things down."
Taurus
You're in celebratory mode, Taurus, and understandably so.
"There is no doubt you have made progress, even if it has been hard fought for. This is a huge achievement, and pat yourself on the back for a well-done job," Price says. "As you reach the top of one mountain, you are at the foot of another, and this is exactly where you will be during the new moon. Mercury is guiding you to take a breath before beginning your next ascent."
(Psst: astrologers have good predictions for you in 2023!)
Gemini
You're in the middle of an important transformation, but before you reach the final chapter, you may be forced to part ways with things that are no longer serving you.
"The new moon is a perfect chance for reflection. Focus on what it is you have achieved this year and what it is you wish to let go of before your next leg of the journey," Price suggests. "Look back, but don't stare! You are only here for a moment before you continue to climb, so really enjoy a moment of nourishment and replenishment."
Cancer
Take your time and trust the process, Cancer. There's no need to rush into anything you're not ready for.
"You have been carrying emotional weights on your shoulder for some time and need to put them down. Don't worry—on the other side of it, you will feel much better," he adds. "Abundance is coming, but for now, take things slow and be calculated in your decision-making."
Leo
Now's the time to start making moves, Leo, and we know you're certainly capable.
"You still have several weeks of the year left, and there is so much you can achieve in that time," Price says. "Also, think ahead and contemplate what you wish to achieve in the long term."
If you do the heavy lifting now, you'll be grateful in the end.
"The new moon is the best time of any month to set intentions and goals and manifest your dreams," he adds. "This is what you should do to make the most of this time."
Virgo
"Remember, you are the center of your own Universe, and the world revolves around you," Price says. "The new moon takes place in Sagittarius, which has a unique effect on you, Virgo. Use [it] to make a pact with the universe: you will nourish your soul and make yourself a priority moving forward, and in return, you will receive unlimited abundance."
Yes, we assure you that it's more than OK to put your needs first—we promise! (No, this is not selfish.)
Libra
It's going to be time to let go, Libra, and it's hard—but it's ok. Not only is it OK, it's necessary.
"You are entering a new phase, but as one door opens, another one closes," Price notes. "Reflect on what it is you have lost and are still carrying—a job, a relationship, an opportunity. Take some time to feel its loss and then put it to bed."
It may seem challenging now, but in the long run, you'll feel better having released what no longer serves you.
Scorpio
"The new moon is bringing you much more positive energy than this, so prepare to feel a sense of amazing peace, possibly for the first time in a long time," Price says. "Whatever you have been worrying about, know that it will turn out for the best."
Cheers to that, right? Plus, 2023 will be very abundant for you.
"Your finances are going to improve very soon, which is always welcome news, and you have a lot of love and happiness heading your way next year," Price adds.
Sagittarius
It might be an emotional time for you, Sag, but don't fight off those feelings. Get in tune with what you're experiencing and Price promises, "skies will be much brighter on the other side of the new moon."
He adds, "It's been an emotional year for you, Sagittarius, but it has also been one of the fastest-paced years of your life. This has resulted in you not taking the time to process emotions and sit in them for a while, which is a vital stage of healing."
That r&r is more necessary than you think!
Capricorn
Consider this new moon a refresh, Caps.
"You are already one of the strongest people you know due to your unshakeable core. Even when you feel weak, you know you have enormous strength to get through the challenges you have already faced in life," Price says. "The new moon is serving you by recharging this strength."
Aquarius
Before you embark on a new chapter, the best thing you can do is take some time for yourself and rest. (A Netflix marathon might be helpful when recharging—just sayin'.)
"You are about to start a new path, and it must be calculated in your next step," Price warns. "This will require stillness of the mind, so free up your schedule and get ready to set some goals. With this in mind, use the new moon as an opportunity to think about and focus on what you want to achieve and attract into your life next."
Pisces
Use this new moon to crack the code, Pisces.
"The New Moon will be a welcome one for you as it provides a unique space," Price adds. "You have been searching for answers with no results, but do you know the questions you seek to answer?"
You might not want to address certain things, but once you bring them to the forefront, it'll be much easier for you moving forward.
Price adds, "Sometimes, you may expect results without putting in the thought but remember that the universe does not create—it co-creates. You have to meet the universe 50% of the way, and the new moon encourages you to do this."
Ready to manifest and make the most out of the new moon in Sagittarius? 2022 is winding down, so make the most of it—especially with this delightful lunation.
"New moons begin a new cycle, so this one is flavored with the expectancy to expand, explore, and grow," Simmons adds.
We'll cheers to that!
