When does Sagittarius season start? The lively, free-spirited time is right around the corner
Mark your calendars and prepare for an astrological breather!
When does Sagittarius season start? Fortunately, it's right around the corner.
After a few difficult October and November astrology events tested our limits (looking at you, eclipse season 2022), now we can decompress and welcome the best of the fire sign.
"The positive aspects of Sagittarius season are that it encourages us to let loose, plan less and just live in the moment," says astrologer Michelle Bell, founder of Cosmic Fusion. "The free-spirited energy should be infectious to everyone. The negative side of Sagittarius season is that we might be inclined to act before we think."
While yes, have fun, do be mindful of your next move. And should you be on the fence about the way in which to proceed, we got you.

When does Sagittarius season start?
Mark your calendars: Sagittarius season 2022 takes place from November 22 to December 21. Don't we all appreciate that fiery energy during the holiday season?
What to expect during Sagittarius season
Right now, we're being asked to tap into our adventurous side.
"With Sagittarius season upon us, we can expect a positive shift with extra emphasis on our social lives and new adventures. There should be an optimistic feeling about the future and trying to embrace the spontaneity of this season," Bell says. "Sagittarians are the playful social butterflies of the zodiac. Even if you don't have a plan in place, now could be the perfect time to hone your craft or explore unfamiliar subjects."
Astrologer Liz Simmons couldn't agree more. Even if you don't have specifics nailed down, be open to what the universe sends your way.
"If you want to experience something new and wonderful, Sagittarius season is the time to go all-in," Simmons adds. "If you are able to, learn something new. Go beyond a hobby. Challenge yourself to learn about different cultures, stay up-to-date with current politics, even learn a new language!"
Liz Simmons is a freelance writer, astrologer, and tarot reader based in Salem, MA. She views astrology and tarot as another tool in our arsenal to understand the cosmic interplay in our lives. Currently, Liz contributes astrological articles and horoscopes to StyleCaster, POPSUGAR and Astrology.com. She is also the resident astrologer at ASCEND Get Lifted. Who will be most affected by Sagittarius season?
"The fire signs are all very free-spirited with a magnetic lust for life. It will be effortless for them to embrace whatever is thrown at them," Bell says. "However, the signs that might find this season more challenging include Virgo, Taurus and Scorpio. They might struggle with the spontaneity and ambiguity."
Tips for dealing with Sagittarius season
Though we are certainly anxious to see what the stars will bring our way, it's important to take a breather every now and then, even if this next cosmic event is positive.
"Sagittarius season is exciting and it always wants to be moving towards the next bigger and better thing. However, you can end up exhausting yourself if you don't stay grounded during this fiery and eventful time," astrologer Renée Watt warns.
There's no shame in those self-care day ideas. The holiday season is hectic, after all. A bubble bath—perhaps with a glass of eggnog or Bailey's to put atop your bath tray—could be the perfect way to unwind from all of the exciting things happening.
Astrologer Renée Watt has offered her expertise for a variety of publications, including Cosmo, InStyle, Girlboss and more. She hosts a weekly podcast called "The Glitter Cast" and is a cohost of the occult livestream “Betwixt The Shadows.”
Regardless of how the next several weeks will shape up, we wish you nothing but the best this astro season has to offer!
