Until recently, the details of Shawn Mendes' love life have been a little hazy, following his very public romance and subsequent breakup with the Cinderella star, in 2021. In fact, he—much like that of Selena Gomez's dating life—seemed to be keeping his relationship status on the Q.T.

That being said, since his and Camila's break-up, there have been some very interesting rumors swirling around the web, including some theories that Shawn could, in fact, be dating a certain Nonsense singer—after the pair were spotted out and about together. But of course, that was before the recent news of a rumored reconciliation between Shawn and his long-time love Camila. So what exactly is going on?! Who is Shawn Mendes dating in 2023? While we continue to muse over Meghann Fahy's dating situation and all the latest intel on Outer Banks' Madelyn Cline's boyfriend—who is Shawn Mendes dating in 2023?

Recently, it was believed that Shawn was single, since he hadn't confirmed a new relationship. However, at this year's Coachella festival in California, Shawn unexpectedly reunited with an old flame—none other than Camila Cabello, who he has been separated from for almost two years! Yes, Shamila fans, it's really happening.

The pair were spotted getting very close whilst in the crowd on Friday night, hugging and even kissing without a care in the world. And when they weren't *ahem* canoodling, Shawn and Camila were seen laughing and chatting with each other, while Shawn held his arm around Camila's shoulders.

According to US Weekly, the pair spent a lot of time in a private VIP area during the festival. A source told the publication, "They were flanked by bodyguards and had a big group around them. They weren’t holding hands, but stayed together all night."

Of course, we don't know if this PDA marks the beginning of a reunion between the two singing stars, or if Camila is now Shawn Mendes' girlfriend once more, as the pair haven't publicly commented on their relationship as of yet. But we can only hope! 

Though he may now be officially off the market, the Treat You Better singer has been linked to a number of other names in recent months. Prior to his Coachella appearance with Camila, there were rumors circulating online claiming that Shawn Mendes (who sent fans into overdrive with his Harry Styles concert appearance) could be dating his chiropractor, Dr. Jocelyne Miranda. 

Miranda, 51, is a celebrity chiropractor, with the likes of Hailey Bieber, Post Malone, Kendall Jenner and of course, Shawn, among her famous clientele.

Rumors first began swirling in July 2022, after the pair were spotted out and about together, and again in January 2023 after the Daily Mail reported that they were seen enjoying a lunch date. Then in February 2023, the Daily Mail once again reported that Shawn and Jocelyne were spotted together on a hike, with Shawn even going topless.

Around the same time, speculation also started swirling around Shawn Mendes and singer Sabrina Carpenter, after the anon gossip account, DeuxMoi (as per Elle) posted that they'd been seen together in LA...

Dating rumors between Shawn and Sabrina started trending after the pair were spotted and pictured out and about together in LA on February 25, smiling and laughing together. Just a week after DeuxMoi (as per Page Six) had shared a tip online, from an onlooker who had also spied them together looking "verrry comfortable" and "clearly on a date."

However,  on Friday, March 17 2023, Shawn debunked these dating claims during an interview with RTL Boulevard, while promoting his collab with Tommy Hilfiger, as he said: "We are not dating, before adding, "But I think we should talk about Tommy Hilfiger probably more than Sabrina. But thank you."

From the looks of it, and given his recent PDA with Camila, it looks as though the pair  really were just platonic, and enjoying hanging out together as friends!

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello caused quite a stir circa 2019. They were first linked in June of that year, after the release of their very steamy “Señorita” track and accompanying music video. Exhibit A:

In the months that followed, the pair denied all the dating speculation, despite a number of videos surfacing of them seemingly locking lips—until July 2019, when they were pictured sharing a very passionate smooch in a pool, while on holiday together in Miami.

From that point onward the rest really was history, with the pair dating for three years. Their relationship was full of endless PDA (both via snaps on Instagram and IRL), a myriad of adorable dates, and some seriously high-profile appearances as a couple, including the 2021 Met Gala, which they attended together.

The pair clearly fell hard—and in a 2020 interview with radio.com, Shawn adorably discussed how he'd begun to be vulnerable with Camila. “I thought that I was a pretty open, emotional guy until I started being in a relationship with someone that I really, truly love and realizing that, ‘Oh, no, I really have this big ego, and I don’t want to show her that I’m hurting and I don’t want to show her that that offended me, and, like, I want to be the man, and I want to be strong in this relationship’…it actually was hurting our relationship," he said.

Sadly though, everything came crashing down for Shawn and Camila fans, as the pair announced their split in November 2021, saying in a joint statement: "Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”
