Shows like 'The Sex Lives of College Girls' to watch while you wait for season 3 to drop
We have classics and new favorites to add to your list if you love Mindy Kaling's HBO Max series
Can't get enough of Kimberly, Leighton, Bela and Whitney? Shows like The Sex Lives of College Girls will keep you busy while the ladies are off-campus.
In the second season of the Mindy Kaling hit, our roomies venture back to school after Thanksgiving break and prepare for the final stretch of the semester...which just so happens to include a "striptacular." Plus, there's a curious new neighbor, Jackson (Mitchell Slaggert), who's making dorm life all the more interesting.
"For so long, shows that deal with sexuality—especially female sexuality—have been about what happens under the sheets. So if there’s a gap the show is trying to fill, it’s being about more than that," Pauline Chalamet (Kimberly) revealed to Harper's Bazaar.
While we're please to know that The Sex Lives of College Girls season 3 is a go, it'll be some time before it makes its way to our screens. While waiting, have a look at the series below, both new and old, for a taste of dorm life beyond Essex College.
Shows like 'The Sex Lives of College Girls'
1. 'Never Have I Ever' (2020-present)
- Where to watch: Netflix
The baby sis to The Sex Lives of College Girls, Never Have I Ever is Mindy Kaling's breakout hit about young Devi, a teen who's trying to navigate the world of dating, uncovering her passions and managing life without her father. Even if your high school days are far in the rearview, you'll still fall for this sweet series and its lovable characters.
Never Have I Ever season 4 will be the show's last, and truthfully, we're not entirely sure we're ready to part ways with Devi. (Hey, if she ventures off to Princeton, perhaps Mindy will gift us with a sequel!)
2. 'Love, Victor' (2020-2022)
- Where to watch: Hulu
Set in the Love, Simon world, Love, Victor focuses on a teen going through a similar path to self-discovery and self-acceptance. - Where to watch: Hulu
Based on the bestseller by Carola Lovering, Tell Me Lies focuses on the toxic relationship between Lucy and Stephen upon their arrival at college. Expect betrayals, heartbreak and a thriller element, too.

Will Lucy heed this warning in Tell Me Lies season 2? Time will tell!
6. 'Greek' (2007-2011)

8. 'Euphoria' (2020-present)
- Where to watch: HBO Max
Led by the inimitable Zendaya as the damanged Rue Bennett, Euphoria focuses on a group of high school students and their experiences with sex, relationships, substance abuse and violence.
