I've just found the *ultimate* dupe for TikTok's fave YSL Libre for under $30

Beloved for its warm blend of floral and musky notes, YSL Libre is widely regarded as one of the best perfumes, but with such high praise comes a similarly steep price tag—which is why this YSL Libre dupe just made our whole year.

So what is this budget-friendly alternative, you ask? Well, you only need to head down to your local Zara store to find it, as the scent in question (that rivals Dua Lipa's fave perfume) is none other than Zara's Golden Decade Eau De Parfum.

This fragrance comes in at under $30 and as a fan and loyal wearer of Libre myself, I can confirm it's very very close and even TikTok agrees...

Is this YSL Libre dupe from Zara the real deal?

This past weekend, I caught up with a friend over drinks, who excitedly told me she'd just bought the nicest perfume from Zara. She then proceeded to pull out a bottle from her handbag, filled with amber liquid and baring the name 'Golden Decade' before offering me a spritz—and let me tell you, the moment those scent particles hit me, my mind instantly flitted to a similarly honey-colored perfume, sat on my own dresser back home (which I've been wearing for over two years now).

What does YSL Libre smell like vs Zara's Golden Decade?

For those who aren't familiar with YSL's Libre, the perfume features a hypnotic blend of orange blossom, lavender and jasmine. It's musky and warm but also has this irresistible softness to it—thanks to its floral hints—that just melts into the skin. It's definitely what we would call a 'Quiet Luxury' perfume because it just smells so chic and effortless but in no way overpowering, hence why it's also one of the best TikTok perfumes. 

Alas though, it's not exactly cheap. For the one fluid-ounce bottle, it will set you back $95, hence why this Zara alternative is a real steal. 

Golden Decade (which comes in a 2.71 fl oz bottle) features an almost identical connotation of white florals, particularly jasmine and orange blossom, laced with juicy mandarin and a hint of lavender—all for just $29.90.

And while I'd love to take the credit for discovering this staple scent, TikTok has also sung its praises.

In fact, one user said: "This is a really good dupe guys! I bought this at Zara today and tested it on my skin and it does smell like YSL Libre!"
