Where was Dated and Related filmed? Based on jaw-dropping accommodations, most of us wouldn't mind entering or leaving the villa solo. (But the Dated and Related couples had other plans in mind.)
In this new cringe-worthy concept from Netflix, contestants from all over the world make their way to a luxurious, tropical villa with the hopes of finding love...alongside their sibling.
While the title could be a tad misleading, rest assured that the new reality dating show asks participants to find love not only for themselves but for their brothers or sisters as well. Essentially, you have to perfectly balance selfishness and selflessness.
Those new to the reality dating scene were graciously guided by Too Hot To Handle alumna Melinda Berry. However, with her every call on the lipstick phone (a super-cute addition to the villa), she sent hopeful romantics into a tailspin with a plot twist.
Romance aside, it was easy to fall in love with the grounds before anything else, especially considering the villa is located in the most romantic place in the world.
You might recall our overzealous Jersey boys, Chris and Jason, assuring the Parsijani twins that they were too busy admiring them to focus on the scenery. What a line—you will most definitely be distracted by the environment.
Where was 'Dated and Related' filmed?
The new series was filmed at Villa Julia in "one of the biggest villas on the hills of Cannes" in the picturesque South of France, according to Twice Agency. The not-so-humble abode is a sprawling 2,000-square-meters with 15 rooms, including a terrace, outdoor lounge, gym and sauna, heated pool, private tennis court and home movie theater, to name but a few features. Love Island villa WHO?!
Although pricing is unavailable on the website—you'll have to submit details about your anticipated stay in order to receive an estimate—Distractify notes that neighboring villas in the area could run you up to $9,000 per night. Talk about an expensive proposition!
Is Dated and Related taking applications for its next season? We'd gladly sign up just to stay at this gorgeous spot!
Although there's no word yet on Dated and Related season 2—though fans are holding out hope for another run—here's hoping for the contestants' sake that, even if they don't walk away with a match, they'll at least be able to enjoy a stay in this glorious French mansion.
