Where was 'The Ultimatum' season 2 filmed? A locations guide
We'll give you a rundown on the trendy city where 'The Ultimatum' filmed its second season
Where was The Ultimatum season 2 filmed? Considering the couples involved participate in a temporary spousal swap, it might seem like an alternate universe, but in reality, the Netflix franchise focuses on pairs from one particular location.
In this new installment, we meet five couples—well, four considering Brian and Lisa split early for a *very* surprising reason—who are at a crossroads. All of the contestants are temporarily matched with another person while their exes set their sights on someone new, too. During the "trial marriages," they uncover if they want to marry or move on—and where they want to settle down.
Throughout the course of each episode, we're taken into trendy restaurants where new couples are getting acquainted with their S.O.'s loved ones. We are stationed with the new pairings in their temporary apartments, filled with modern kitchens, cozy living rooms, and all the makings of a happy home. And, as is the case with most reality dating shows on Netflix, we somehow end up on a few boat dates.
But where did all of this unfold? We'll give you all the locations scoop, in the event you're thinking about getting out of town for a few days.
Where was 'The Ultimatum' season 2 filmed?
The Ultimatum season 2 was filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2022. All of the participating couples were either from North or South Carolina.
Typically, when filming shows like Love Is Blind, Too Hot To Handle, and so on, location comes into play. Once contestants leave the luxurious villas, they oftentimes head to the opposite location of where their matches are settled. That's not typically a factor that comes into play during The Ultimatum, however.
For those who are unaware, Charlotte was ranked the sixth-largest growing metro in the United States, according to a study from The Inspection Support Network, per NBC's WCNC Charlotte. Home to a vibrant sports scene, a plethora of dining and nightlife options, the Mint Museum, and some great outdoor wonders—Lake Norman and Lake Wylie, to name a few—North Carolina has a little something for everyone. Plus, it's the perfect mix of city and nature!
