Who are the 'Perfect Match' winners? It might not be the couple that you expected
Season one is in the books, so who are the 'Perfect Match' winners—and what does their relationship look like now?
For the past few weeks, we've been predicting the Perfect Match winners. Heck, we even asked astrologers for the Perfect Match cast zodiac signs to assess the daters' romantic compatibility! Needless to say, we became rather invested in this reality show experiment.
Since the series premiered on Valentine's Day, we've witnessed attraction, heartbreak, and, of course, plenty of drama in the villa. (We won't mention names, but...) Now that the final Perfect Match episodes have hit Netflix, we're ready to learn the outcome of the unorthodox reality dating show. (For the record, we had bets on Joey and Kariselle taking home the win.)
Ready for the results? Drumroll, please...
*Warning: spoilers ahead!*
Who are the 'Perfect Match' winners?
While we witnessed an impromptu proposal from Joey Sasso, who solidified his love for Kariselle Snow, it was actually Dom and Georgia who emerged victorious in the Perfect Match finale—a move that shocked a lot of viewers, in all honesty.
"I knew you were my perfect match but I didn't realize we were the perfect match," Georgia Hassarati said of her coupling with Dom Gabriel.
According to our astrologers, star signs alone indicated that this Perfect Match couple wasn't as compatible as some of the others.
"Dom (Capricorn) and Georgia (Sagittarius) have very stark energy that can rub one another wrong, as Earth signs (such as Dom) favor loyalty, devotion and routine, while Georgia hungers for spontaneity," astrologer Kyle Thomas previously told My Imperfect Life.
Despite the doubts, Dom and Georgia went on to claim their prize: an all-expenses-paid vacation to a location of their choice. But that doesn't necessarily guarantee a happily-ever-after, right?
Where do the 'Perfect Match' winners stand now?
Sorry, readers: Dom and Georgia broke up.
"He is a really amazing person and whoever he ends up with will be a really lucky girl because he's lovely," Georgia previously told us. "I see him around, there's no bad blood, we get along. It's all fine, we just didn't end up together."
You might recall that Georgia caused a bit of an uproar in the villa when she first set her sights on Dom, who was originally Francesca Farago's first match. Although Francesca and Damian rekindled a connection, leaving Dom to find someone new, the Too Hot To Handle troublemaker was not terribly keen on a former reality show peer going after someone she picked.
What's more is that Georgia is now dating another one of Francesca's exes, Harry Jowsey. (Remember he proposed to Francesca on THTH with a RingPop?) Francesca spoke to Variety and seems skeptical about the pairing and the timing of their union.
"I’m not going to say she’s disingenuous, but it’s just, like, sketchy, to me," she told the outlet of Georgia and Harry's relationship. "And his intentions are sketchy to me. It’s just convenient that they’re back together a week before our premiere. I don’t really trust either of them."
Dom alleged to have found out about the Harry Jowsey union via podcast, which surprised him, but according to Netflix Tudum, he's looking ahead.
"I don’t know if there’s anyone from Selling Tampa that’s still single, or maybe Cheer,” he told the outlet. “Gabi, if she's single. I don’t know if you’re watching this, but hey, how are you doing? Maybe I’ll see you on Season 2.”
Now that season one is in the books, we're waiting to see what Netflix has to say about a potential Perfect Match reunion and Perfect Match season 2. Given the number of viewers tuning in, we wouldn't be surprised if the rollercoaster romantic experiment continues.
In the meantime, to satiate our craving for reality TV romances, be sure to tune in for Love Is Blind season 4 on March 24. The entire first season of Perfect Match is now streaming on Netflix.
