Who's Ramsey in 'The Idol'? Here's where you might've seen (or heard) her before
Ramsey joins The Weeknd for a super-sensual song on 'The Idol' titled 'Fill the Void'
Who is Ramsey? The Idol just added another famous face to its controversial storyline and ethereal soundtrack.
Considering a fan-favorite Euphoria character shows up early on in the buzzy project, we're not surprised director Sam Levinson borrowed a songstress from his Zendaya-led hit for The Idol. Enter Ramsey, the broody, electronic artist whose "Love Surrounds You" got fans' attention in the high school drama.
"I think that my lyrics resonated with the show more than anything...maybe it's something about the stories they tell and the stories I tell," Ramsey told Flaunt. "A friend of mine described the stories I tell as 'a road that could lead to self-destruction or self-empowerment.' I couldn't have pinpointed it better myself, and that's kind of how I feel about the character plots in Euphoria."
So where does she fit in with Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) and Tedros (The Weeknd)? We'll fill you in.
Who's Ramsey, 'The Idol's' new face?
Ramsey (a.k.a. Rebecca Fisher) is a 27-year-old musician whose work has appeared on Euphoria, Arcane and most recently, The Idol. In addition to snagging a spot on The Weeknd's latest track for the series, "Fill the Void," she is also starring in the show alongside the Canadian singer and Depp, as one of the women in Tedros' clan.
When it comes to her musical persona, Ramsey is like Billie Eilish's older, goth cousin, but in reality, she's not necessarily what she might appear to be on stage.
“I’m sensitive as f*** about my music,” she told LA Weekly. “If one person doesn’t like it, it hurts.”
Her full-length album, The Art of Survival, hit the scene in 2019, following several EPs. This year, in addition to appearing on The Idol, she has a new single titled "I Put Something In Your Drink," which made its way onto streamers at the beginning of June. She ventured over to Los Angeles by way of Las Vegas, her hometown, and a brief stint in Oregon. The moody artist is currently residing in Sunny L.A. where she is working as a "self-produced, sinner/songwriter," according to Instagram.

Listen to The Weeknd and Ramsey's 'Fill the Void'
Ahead of the fourth episode of The Idol, which hit HBO and Max on Sunday, June 25, The Weeknd dropped new songs, including “One of the Girls,” a collab with Jennie from BLACKPINK and Lily-Rose Depp, a cover of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" and "Fill The Void," which he sings with Ramsey. Much like the nature of the show, the track is very sexual and causes a bit of shock among listeners.
"These lyrics are something else," one YouTube subscriber wrote. Another chimed in with "I'm obsessed." Have a listen below for yourself.
