Who's the 'M' in 'MANG'...in real life? Learn all about Sara Waisglass, who plays Max in 'Ginny & Georgia'
Who plays Max in Ginny & Georgia? Max is one fourth of the struggling friend group in Ginny & Georgia season 2, which certainly provides plenty of drama—though it's hard compete with the drama concerning the show's leading lady, Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey)!
But when we're not caught up in the young mom's antics—for example, when we're not asking, "Who did Georgia kill in Ginny & Georgia?"—we're back at school with Ginny and her clique. In season 1, and the start of season 2, things went haywire when Ginny fell for someone who is off-limits, a.k.a. Max's twin, Marcus. (Everyone's dying to know "Do Ginny and Marcus get back together?", but you'll have to tune in to find out.)
So who plays Max on Ginny & Georgia? We've got all the details on the IRL actress behind the role.
*Warning: Ginny & Georgia spoilers below!*
Who plays Max in 'Ginny & Georgia'?
If, while bingeing the show, you've been wondering, who plays Max on Ginny and Georgia? We've got the details!
Sara Waisglass is the Canadian actor behind the "M" in MANG (Max, Abby, Nora and Ginny). Sara landed the role of Max from the very beginning of the show, and does feel a strong connection to the Queen B of MANG...even if the character is a little difficult.
"I feel like Maxine is me if I didn't have anxiety and if I drank 10 coffees a day," Waisglass joked to NYLON. "But we have the exact same heart. We love people fiercely and that's probably the thing that drew me to her the most."
Even if things start out shaky between the friends this season, Waisglass confessed to NYLON that she was pleased with the brother-sister interaction in series 2 of the show.
"Personally, what I'm most excited about, especially with Max, is her relationship with her brother [played by Felix Mallard]," she told the outlet. "You see that kind of shift and change. Obviously at the beginning she's like, "F*** you." As the season goes on, you'll see that she and him are always there for each other when they really need it, which is really beautiful."
Where is Sara Waisglass from?
The 24-year-old actor hails from Toronto, Canada. Her career began at age 7, when she booked the role of Jordy Cooper in Shaftesbury's Overruled. Now, she's pivoting towards screenwriting, according to IMDB, and we can't wait to see where the adventure takes her.
What movies and TV shows has Sara Waisglass been in?
Waisglass has starred in shows like Degrassi, Suits and The Good Doctor and the 2020 film Tainted and 2008's Afterwards, to name just a few.
She's currently in post-production for two projects, a thriller titled Cascade, which is about friends discovering a crashed drug plane and Suze, which follows a single mother who has to console her daughter's boyfriend when she leaves for college, per IMDB.

Are Max and Marcus twins in 'Ginny & Georgia'?
Yep, Max from Ginny & Georgia and Marcus in the show are twins—though obvs the actors who play them aren't actually related in any way. Because of their close sibling bond, Marcus is also considered to be off-limits to Max's friends—but we're guessing Ginny chose to ignore that memo!
Why is Max mad at Abby in 'Ginny & Georgia'?
What did Abby do in Ginny & Georgia to cause tension? Why is there so much hostility at the beginning of season 2?
Abby (Katie Douglas) knew that Ginny (Antonia Gentry) had been unfaithful to her boyfriend and kissed Marcus (Max's bro). Although there was already some tension brewing between the two, this only made matters more uncomfortable...especially when Max discovers the text on her brother's phone.
Luckily though, if you've finished season 2, you'll know that the MANG gang eventually manage to make things up and are all pals again by the end of this current series—phew! Will things stay that way in Ginny & Georgia season 3 though? We'll have to wait and see...
The second season of Ginny & Georgia is now streaming on Netflix.
