All of Zendaya's best hair looks—from her new sophisticated bob to her natural curls
If you're in need of a change—allow style icon Zendaya's hair to inspire a new cut or shade...
From her new bob hairstyle to her braids, Zendaya's hairstyles (and Zendaya's outfits for that matter) never miss. So, here's a love letter to all her best looks to date, all the intel on her natural texture and shade and how to recreate her looks.
While we continue to obsess over Zendaya and Tom Holland's relationship (aka IRL Peter Parker and MJ *cry*) and her balletcore-esque makeup look at the 2023 SAG Awards, her recent hair looks have been nothing short of fire.
For anyone who missed Zendaya's latest chop, the two-time Emmy-winning actress—who is not quitting Euphoria, by the way—has been rocking both the 'Italian' bob and honey brown hair trend, no doubt inspiring many of her fans to follow suit. This latest switch-up has proved, once again, that she suits everything—from short and long styles to coppery hair tones!
So, to celebrate her long-awaited return to the red carpet—after taking a short break (which honestly felt like an eternity) while filming for Dune 2—what better time to recap all of her best hair looks to date?
Zendaya's natural hair
So before we dive into the majesty that is Zendaya's hairstyle history, let's first discuss Zendaya's natural hair, from the color to the texture.
Does Zendaya have naturally curly hair?
For anyone wondering, Zendaya does indeed have naturally curly hair. In 2017, the Spiderman: No Way Home star shared that after years of growing out her hair and fending off hair damage, her curl pattern was finally starting to come back.

According to Teen Vogue, she's also previously shared her curly girl hair routine, sharing which was her favorite diffuser to use on her curly hair type.
As for her hair color, Zendaya's natural hair color is a warm, golden-toned brown. Her brunette locks are close to a chestnut shade, though she's recently opted for a lighter, more honey-toned brown.

Fans can often spy Zendaya's natural hair on Instagram, on the red carpet and during HBO's Euphoria—with the show's hair department head, Kim Kimble sharing on Enter Euphoria that they often used Zendaya's natural curls for Rue's look.
Zendaya's best hairstyles to date
Now, onto some of her best looks to date (there are too many to count!), get ready to swoon and sprint to the salon...
1. Zendaya's short hair
We couldn't not start this list with her current bob look. Zendaya debuted her fresh trim in December 2022 on Instagram, with her new curly bob earning her over nine million likes, deservedly.
Since then we've seen her rock the seriously chic look at both the SAG Awards and NAACP Awards and we already can't wait to see how she styles it next!
2. Zendaya's cornrows at the 'Spiderman' premiere
This look had our jaws on the floor and will forever remain one of our favorite Zendaya hair looks of all time. Her hairstylist Antoinette Hill, revealed in an Instagram post that she had 45 minutes to complete all the intricate and flawless braiding and it's safe to say they pulled through.
3. Zendaya's fringe look
Serving yet another knock-out look (Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet fashion moments from the Dune press tour were incredible), Zendaya debuted a fringe hairstyle in October 2021 and we're still obsessed to this day.
4. Zendaya's waist-length waves at the Oscars
A thousand times yes to not only Zendaya's yellow Oscars dress, but her wait-length waves.
5. Zendaya's 2017 Met Gala Afro look
Truly, no one rivals Zendaya's looks at the Met Gala, and her 2017 diffused afro-texture look took this moment to a whole other level.
6. Zendaya's side part hair look
Yet more evidence that Zendaya suits everything! Here she is rocking a Y2K-esque side parting—we'd also like to take a moment to appreciate how glossy her hair is.
7. Zendaya's slicked back look
Zendaya rocked this wet-look, slicked-back hairstyle at the Dune premiere and we just love it. While you might not be able to recreate this on the daily, it could make for a great bold night-out look!
8. Zendaya's red hair
Ah, the red-hair era! In 2019, Zendaya swapped out her brunette locks for a red, cherry hue.
While the copper hair trend seems to be dominating the 2023 hair trends right now, we could see red hair like this making a comeback.
9. Zendaya's 2018 Met Gala bob look
Zendaya last rocked a bob way back in 2018, which she paired with a blunt, full-fringe and a coppery shade.
10. Zendaya's Euphoria up-do
While many will remember Zendaya's stripy dress, her glamourous up-do from the Euphoria Season 2 photo call also deserves some love!
