Adidas has new period-proof leggings so you never experience leaks again
Activewear that gives you confidence and peace of mind
Finding the best activewear is essential, and thankfully nowadays we have plenty of choice (including sustainable activewear). But Adidas has upped the game even more, by creating period-proof leggings, so you can work out out with no fear of leakage.
There’s nothing worse than working out when you’re on your period and suddenly having that panicked feeling that you’ve just leaked on your favorite pair of leggings. It’s bad enough dealing with menstrual cramps, without worrying about whether your tampon has failed you. Thankfully, those days may be well and truly behind us with the new Adidas Stay in Play collection, designed specifically for periods.

Although they aren’t like period pants because you still need to use other sanitary products, the leggings do offer three layers of protection. Pretty impressive...
The leggings have ‘Flow Shield’ technology, which is a set of absorbent layers with a leak-proof membrane. The layers are designed to wick and absorb, meaning you can forget all about leaks while you smash one of your online Pilates classes.
They come in stylish black, as leggings or shorts. The size range is 2XS to 2XL and—most importantly—they have pockets!
Adidas says: “Our Techfit period-proof long and short tights are here to help keep you protected as you move. Wear your tampon, pad or cup for confidence from the gym to the dance floor.”
So far, customers are loving them, with one saying: “Never thought I’d want to run in tight shorts but even after 14kms these were still comfortable. High-waisted but not tight, you feel secure but not squashed—important when feeling a bit bloated on your period. True to size and good quality.”
Another said: “The short tight has a perfect fit during your period. There is an extra layer included but no lines are visible which is so great! I would highly recommend these tights to all women on their period, but also when not on your period these shorts are perfect.”

Before working for Future Publishing’s Lifestyle News team, she worked in the Ad production team. Here she wrote and designed adverts on all sorts of things, which then went into print magazines across all genres. Now, when she isn’t writing articles on celebs, fashion trends, or the newest shows on Netflix, you can find her drinking copious cups of coffee, drawing and probably online shopping.
