Are Tom Holland and Zendaya engaged? Fans are getting suspicious

We couldn't help but wonder: are Tom Holland and Zendaya engaged?

One of Hollywood's favorite friends-to-lovers story only seems to be getting more serious, and given the pair's extensive relationship timeline, an engagement doesn't seem entirely out of the cards. 

Now, rumors are circulating that the two are taking the next step in their romance, leading us to believe that Spider-Man and Rue Bennett are going to the chapel.

Are Tom Holland and Zendaya engaged?

Tom Holland and Zendaya are not engaged (yet), and it seems the Euphoria star's mother, Claire Stoermer, took to social media to dispel the rumors. According to PageSix, she defined the term "clickbait" on her Instagram Stories on November 30, roughly the same time in which the rumors started spreading.

"Clickbait typically refers to the practice of writing sensationalized or misleading headlines in order to attract clicks on a piece of content," the definition read. "It often relies on exaggerating claims or leaving out key information in order to encourage traffic. The term is generally used in a dismissive sense."

This is the first time the two were subjects of gossip in 2022. In the spring, headlines emerged stating that the two were moving into a grand £3 million home in the UK, not far from Holland's roots. (That's not the case.) Let's not forget when fans thought Zendaya was pregnant at the start of the summer. (Also untrue.) 

Despite headlines without any basis in reality, the couple is still going strong, and perhaps they've reached other milestones we likely don't even know about! While fans are sad to learn that the duo is not newly betrothed (again, at least not yet), everyone's still happy that they are going strong. 

In 2016, they met on Spider-Man: Homecoming and initially had a platonic relationship, despite speculations. Things changed in 2021 when the two were caught smooching in the car after a get-together in Los Angeles with Zendaya's mama. From there, their bond only grew.

Though Tom and Zendaya are relatively quiet when it comes to their relationship, fans are always anxious to see sweet little social media shoutouts the two give one another. (See below!) 

Now that we've moved past the engagement rumors, let's focus on the big question at hand: Will Tom Holland make a Euphoria cameo in season 3?
