‘Bath tea’ is the latest self-care trend on TikTok
And it looks absolutely dreamy
We all love good a self-care day idea, and when it comes to new and inventive ways to do it, TikTok is our go-to place.
The creativity on TikTok knows no bounds – whether you’re looking for the best TikTok hacks or the latest beauty trends, TikTok has it all. Now its newest self-care trend has caught our eye, and we’re obsessed.
Bath bombs are great, but sometimes the clean-up afterwards, when your bath looks like you had a paint and glitter fight, makes the whole process so not worth it. TikTokers have come up with the perfect clean-up–free solution.

It’s all about ‘bath tea’ – a combination of bath salts, dried flowers and essential oils to create a heavenly bath soak and aroma.
The bath teabags are quite literally bags you can simply chuck into the tub or hang under the tap while you run it to infuse the water with all of the indulgent bath goodness.
Bath tea has over one million tags and is trending among self-care and beauty enthusiasts. Some of the most popular videos have over 117,000 likes, and the trend is also spreading to Instagram. The videos and pictures are all so aesthetically pleasing that the temptation to make a bath tea for ourselves is irresistible.

What makes the trend even better is how easy they are to make. All you need is a muslin bag, dried flowers (such as roses, lavender or chamomile), bath salts and essential oils of your choice.
Then you just need to mix the ingredients up, pop them in the bag and enjoy your relaxing bath. Or if you’re not one for DIY, you can buy your own ready-made teabags or sets.
The bath experts over at Lush are selling a variation of the bath teabags. Wrapped in biodegradable muslin, their Deep Sleep Bath Bomb is a lavender-infused dream, sure to help you unwind and relax before bed.
Etsy is also a great place to find handmade and customizable bath teabags. SEA and CLEAN's shop sells organic bath teabags with several scents to choose from.
This is one trend we are very excited to try!
