Could there be a Drake and Taylor Swift collab in the works?

Attention Swifties, it looks like we may have a potential Drake and Taylor Swift collaboration in the works after Drake’s Instagram featured a snap of the pair.

Drake posted a carousel of pictures to his Insta and nestled in amongst them was a photo of him and Swift looking very cute and cozy…

Now fans are convinced this sneaky snap is hinting at a collab between the two artists—and if we know anything about Swift—she loves to tease at new music.

Are Drake and Taylor Swift dating?

So what could the cozy picture mean? Either they’re dating (which we know is extremely unlikely since last time we checked Swift was in a relationship with Conversations with Friends’ Joe Alwyn,) or they’re just really good friends OR they’re working together. 

This seems all the more likely when you read the caption, which says: “They too soft to understand the meaning of hard work.” Which gives us the feeling they’ve been working hard on something.

What are fans saying about a Drake and Taylor Swift collab?

The last two years have been huge for fans of the country meets pop singer. Swift not only dropped albums Folklore and Evermore in quick succession but also several vault tracks of her most iconic songs, re-recorded and re-released under her name. Including a new rendition of All Too Well, which saw Jake Gyllenhaal in hot water over her scarf. Now it looks very likely we're in for another number one hit...

Swift fans have really become the internet's best sleuths. One fan pointed out that there were once rumors Drake would feature in 1989—so a collab on one of the vault tracks makes a lot of sense. 

Another said: “Drake wouldn't randomly post a photo with Taylor Swift just like that... Looks like the collaboration is really coming.”

While a third reminded us all of that Apple ad of the pair listening to each other’s songs… 

And a true Swiftie tweeted what we were all thinking: “The world needs a drake and Taylor swift song at this point.” So true! 

A Drake and Taylor Swift collab now looks very plausible indeed, but all we can do is wait for confirmation. While we’re here though, we might as well explore what else we know about the musical duo….

Drake was linked to model Johanna Leia in 2021, though there have been numerous reports that the pair split in October of the same year. Since then there's been seemingly no more updates on Drake’s love life…

Is Taylor Swift dating anyone? 

Yes indeed, Taylor Swift has been in a long-term relationship with actor Joe Alwyn for five years now with reports that they may even be engaged. Although there has been no official confirmation of this and the pair are very tight-lipped over their relationship.

Swift fans theorize that Alwyn is the inspiration for songs like Gorgeous, Lover, I knew You, Peace and many many more—with Swift even revealing he helped co-write several tracks on Folklore under the name ‘William Bowery’—how cute!
