Attention, world: Harry Styles is single again

It looks like all that late-night talking was for naught: the Harry Styles Olivia Wilde split rumors are true.

After nearly two years together, celebrity couple Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde are reportedly "taking a break" from their romance, sources confirmed to People. The 28-year-old pop star and the 38-year-old actress-director met on the set of Wilde's Don't Worry Darling in the fall of 2020 and went public with their relationship in January 2021, attending the wedding of Styles' agent Jeff Azoff’s wedding (in matching Gucci outfits, of course).

"[Harry's] still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her kids and her work in L.A.," one source told People. "It's a very amicable decision."

In fact, the actress and her children (six-year-old daughter Daisy and eight-year-old son Otis, whom she shares with Sudeikis) were recently spotted on November 15 at Styles' concert residency in Los Angeles.

"They're still very close friends," a source said, with another adding: "Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart."

There was much talk about their coupling throughout their relationship, including engagement rumors, all of that behind-the-scenes Don't Worry Darling drama (from the Chris Pines #Spitgate at the Venice Film Festival to that messy Miss Flo feud involving actress Florence Pugh, who was rumored to have hooked up with Styles before Wilde did), and Wilde's ongoing custody battle with her former fiancé Jason Sudeikis, including whether the timeline of Harry and Olivia's early relationship overlapped with their partnership. (“The complete horsesh*t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate,” Wilde had asserted in Vanity Fair in October. “Our relationship was over long before I met Harry.”)

Break-up rumors have plagued Styles and Wilde ever since their chilly showing at Don't Worry Darling's premiere at the Venice Film Festival back in September, during which the pair barely interact, not standing next to each other on the red carpet or sitting next to each other during the premiere screening. (“They intentionally decided to keep the focus off their relationship by not walking the carpet together because they don’t want to distract any more from the movie,” an insider told Hollywood Life at the time.)

That same month, in-the-know Instagram celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi commented on the split rumors in a now-expired Story, writing: "I don’t personally think based on the info I have received that they are done, however, things are on edge as f*ck. Like, they have been for the past week or so.”

As with most things, looks like DeuxMoi was right!
