‘How often do you think about the Roman Empire?’ joke is taking over TikTok and we're cracking up at these responses
If by 'Roman Empire,' you mean Lizzie McGuire's middle school trip to Rome, then yes, we're also always thinking about it
Thanks to the "How often do you think about the Roman Empire?" joke, TikTok is being treated to a history lesson—and some unexpected surprises. While apple cider vinegar is being touted across FYPs as an acne hack and the rose sex toy from Lovehoney is gaining viral status, we've somehow transported ourselves back in time.
It all began with Arthur Hulu, Gaius Flavius on the interwebs, stating, "Ladies, many of you do not realize how often men think about the Roman Empire" in a Saturday, August 19 video. In turn, women have been asking boyfriends, husbands, fathers, brothers, etc. how often they think about the famously fallen regime, and as it turns out...pretty frequently.
No one is entirely sure when men are enamored with this specific time period, but they are definitely thinking about it on the reg. (Case in point below.) Here are the funniest reactions to the viral social trend.
