This is why Friends fans think Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are dating

Whether you’re a Friends fan or not, you’ll know about the first-ever TV romance that any of us really cared about. The original “will they won’t they” couple that is Ross and Rachel—and now fans think the actors Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are actually dating IRL.

The Friends Reunion is really where all this began. It featured special guests, and surprise revelations but none more so than the news that Jennifer and David were actually crushing on each other for real when they were filming the show—I KNOW!

The internet went into absolute meltdown when David said during the reunion: “I had a major crush on Jen.” To which Jen added: “And it was reciprocated.”

Sadly, for them and us, it was never the right time. They were both always in relationships with other people, and it was like “two ships passing.” Jen explained: “We just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”

Since then, however, Jen and David have reportedly been spending time together. In fact, a source told Closer that David had even visited Jen at her home. They said: “They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in LA.”

The source also claimed they were spotted “drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen’s favorite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them.” 

The Independent has now reported that David’s reps have denied this, and there has been no confirmation of any romance, but Twitter has been going wild at the idea of the real Ross and Rachel—especially after David’s latest Instagram post.

The Friends cast took to socials to promote the all-new Friends merchandise. David posted a picture of him wearing a T-shirt of Ross and Rachel's first kiss with “Lobsters” written underneath it—and just take a minute to see who he tagged…

Yep, he tagged Jen, right on the T-shirt's picture. Now, this could just be because he was “her lobster” in that iconic (The One with the Prom Video) episode of Friends when they finally got together, or it could be a subtle little tease of maybe more. 

It may seem like a dream, but if “Bennifer” can reunite, maybe there’s hope yet for Ross and Rachel, and if not—we’re still very much enjoying the reactions.

One Twitter fan wrote: “Me trying to calm down after hearing the rumor that David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston are dating IRL.” 

Another utilized the perfect gif, saying: “David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston? Dating? Ross and Rachel? I feel like I’ve woken up in 1998!”
