A close friend of Jennifer Lopez and hairstylist to the stars, Chris Appleton, has shared some behind-the-scenes moments ahead of her wedding to Ben Affleck—including a peek at her dress!
It’s a great time to be a noughties kid, as ‘Bennifer’—the IT couple of the 2000s, have finally gotten hitched, after reuniting and going Insta official last year and announcing their second engagement in April 2022.
As true fans will know, Jennifer and Ben's relationship spans nearly two decades—as the pair were previously involved in a whirlwind romance in 2002—where they got engaged just a few months after going public, before then calling off their wedding in 2003 and breaking up the following year.
Now Jennifer and Ben have officially tied the knot, in a classic drive-through Las Vegas ceremony—and her friend and hairstylist, Chris, has given up a glimpse at the glowing bride moments before she said ‘I do.’
In the video, posted to Instagram Reels, JLo can be seen twirling in a chic, A-Line gown with white lace detailing, with her hair styled in soft, waterfall-like curls—we’d also like to point out that the shine on her tresses was giving major liquid hair vibes.
Like any great stylist and friend should do, Chris can then be heard hyping her up and asking how she’s feeling to which Jen replies, “I'm feeling amazing, I’m so excited,” before hinting that she’d been saving the dress for a long time—aww!
Announcing the wondrous news of their wedding, Jennifer, who has previously been married four times, took to her own Instagram page and posted a snap of the morning after—with a hint in the caption to sign up for her newsletter for all the ‘deets.’
Anyone lucky enough to have received the email blast will have seen the words ‘we did it’ pop up in their inbox, with JLo also writing: “Love is beautiful. Love is Kind. Love is Patient. Twenty years of patient.
“Stick around long enough and maybe you'll find the best moment of your life in a drive-through in Las Vegas at 12:30 in the morning in the tunnel of love with your kids and the one you'll spend forever with.”
‘Bennifer’ jumped on the Las Vegas bandwagon, with other famous faces like Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker also sharing an impromptu wedding in Vegas —four months after Ben got down on one knee (again) with a stunning green diamond ring.
Famously he initially proposed with a pink diamond but for the second time around, he went for green, which reportedly symbolizes new beginnings.
