Lindsay Lohan is finally making her acting comeback—and it's a Netflix rom-com
It's not only what we want, it's what we deserve
The 00s are making a comeback, and we’re so here for it. First JLo and Ben Affleck reunite and now, Lindsay Lohan is finally making her long-awaited return to acting. Are we back in 2003?
The queen of 2000's nostalgia, Lindsay's filmography features the most iconic, and childhood-defining films—from Parent Trap, Get a Clue to Freaky Friday, and of course, Mean Girls.
Now she's making her comeback with a Netflix rom-com. The streaming giant announced the news on Twitter and gave us a little sneak peek at what we can expect.

The post read: “Lindsay Lohan will star in a new romantic comedy about a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident.”
It already has the hallmarks of a classic, feel-good rom-com and we can’t wait. All we can say is, it sounds so “fetch” (sorry, not sorry).
No release date or title have been confirmed, but Variety has reported it will start production in November, so sadly we may have to wait a while for it.
Unsurprisingly though, this happy and out-of-the-blue news has left fans delighted, with Twitter full of joyous reactions. One fan posted: “Lindsay Lohan is finally having a film comeback.”

Lindsay previously hinted at her return back in 2019, when she appeared on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special. She said she wanted to “come back to America and start filming again.”
She also said she was “taking back the life that I worked so hard for and sharing it with my family and with you guys”.
The rest of the cast is yet to be confirmed, but we’re already sold!
Naomi is a Lifestyle News Writer with the Women's Lifestyle team, where she covers everything from entertainment to fashion and beauty, as well as TikTok trends for Woman&Home, after previously writing for My Imperfect Life and GoodTo. Interestingly though, Naomi actually has a background in design, having studied illustration at Plymouth University but lept into the media world in 2020, after always having a passion for writing and earned her Gold Standard diploma in Journalism with the NCTJ.
Before working for Future Publishing’s Lifestyle News team, she worked in the Ad production team. Here she wrote and designed adverts on all sorts of things, which then went into print magazines across all genres. Now, when she isn’t writing articles on celebs, fashion trends, or the newest shows on Netflix, you can find her drinking copious cups of coffee, drawing and probably online shopping.
