Loafers are the hottest shoes to add to your basket right now
Take our money! We're loving this menswear-inspired loafers trend
Fashion trends come and go, but timeless, flattering capsule wardrobe classics like the white T-shirt, blue jeans, and, yes, leather loafers never go out of style. You can’t go wrong with an item that you can dress up and down, and with loafers, you can do just that.
This season has already treated us to Reformation's sustainable denim line, and a heavenly Simone Rocha collection, all of which boast the perfect items to pair with our dream shoes.
Spring is in the air and we want loafers on our feet. Supermodel and eternal fashion It girl Kendall Jenner was spotted rocking a chunky pair of Prada loafers and quite frankly we’re obsessed.
Paired with the perfectly fit jeans, a white baby tee, and a long navy trench, Jenner strutted down the New York City sidewalk looking effortlessly cool. We’ll never be over the chicness of a chunky pair of dad shoes worn with a more feminine ensemble.
You can get your hands on the Kendall-approved Prada loafers for $950. They’re sure to give you that perfect '90s Cher Horowitz or Rachel Green vibes.
Jenner gave us even more outfit envy when she paired an adorable multicolored Mango sweater vest with a long, white button-down shirt, olive trousers, and a pair of Church's brown loafers. The outfit is the perfect mix of elegant and casual.
Kendall Jenner isn’t the only celebrity showing pretty loafers some love. Alexa Chung has posted several pictures to her Instagram rocking some Gucci loafers. The Gucci shoes come in a range of different colors and styles, and frankly anything Alexa is a fan of, we're a fan of too.
Hailey Bieber is also an advocate for loafers. She’s been spotted in the trending Prada pair as well as a chunky Chanel pair. She’s been giving us big noughties vibes, pairing them with shorts and white-and-red heart-print socks. Though her exact pair isn’t available online yet, Chanel has plenty of other loafers to fill the void.

Cheaper loafers options
If you’re wanting the look but not to break the bank, there are some cheaper alternatives for a fraction of the price, thanks to brands like Dr. Martens and Zara.
Dr. Martens is iconic for chunky boot and shoe styles, and they offer a range of loafers that will give you that sophisticated, effortless look at a more wallet-friendly price.
Zara also has a selection of loafers similar to the Prada. They have a thick sole and buckles, a bit like the Gucci ones, so win-win!
