Love Island's Ekin-Su has spoken out on those Davide rumors

If you’ve been keeping up with all the islanders since the Love Island 2022 live final—from their relationship statuses to their career moves—you’ll have no doubt been in turmoil over the last few weeks after that video of Davide Sanclimenti getting into a taxi with two blondes surfaced, sparking rumors about the fate of our winning Love Island couple. Thankfully though, Queen Ekin has now had her say and we feel better already…

For all of our fellow Davide and Ekin-Su fans out there—we sure have had a rough few weeks. What with next to zero content of them together and, of course, that viral video of Davide. 

For those who don’t know, footage of the self-proclaimed Italian stallion was posted by the Sun, showing him leaving a club in a taxi with a friend and two blondes, while Ekin-Su was on a shoot for Oh Polly in LA. In the video, nothing untoward happened—they literally all got into the taxi and drove away—but the internet did what it does best...it freaked out.

Rumors were rife that Davide may have been unfaithful and that the pair had split, but now thankfully, Ekin-Su has responded. 

Speaking to Goss.ie, the *insert Davide’s accent here* actress set the record straight, saying: "I mean those videos, we know it's not true because I was talking to him the whole night. You know the relationship is between me and him and people like to talk.

“The truth behind that is it wasn't just him—it was a big group and it just happened to be two girls in a taxi with him and his friend and it just looked wrong. That's all it was," she added, before saying: "And you know I trust him, he didn't cheat, and he's my man.” He sure is!

Davide also shared an adorable video on his Insta story with Ekin, saying: “Finally back with my Queen, forever—enjoying life,” before kissing her.

So that’s that—we can now blissfully enjoy the countdown until their new TV show airs!
