This sexual wellness company will pay you to masturbate—and no, it's not what you think
Lovehoney wants *you* for its Orgasm Advisory Board
The Lovehoney Orgasm Board is searching for recruits.
To coincide with Masturbation May, the sexual wellness brand is putting together a consumer testing and advisory panel to promote the act of self-love, pleasurable solo-sex techniques and normalizing the conversation.
“Despite the progress we’ve made, self-pleasure is still stigmatized and taboo in so many places. Because of this, we wanted to take our recruitment initiative to the streets, meet people where they are, and educate them about the benefits of masturbation," says Sarah Tomchesson, Lovehoney’s resident sexual wellness advisor.
If you're looking to spring clean your sex life, experts believe solo activities are a good place to start.
What is the Lovehoney Orgasm Board?
You've surely perused the best sex toys on shelves but this opportunity allows you to have a role in the creation of pleasure playthings. A few perks of being on the Lovehoney Orgasm Board include:
- $1,000 for one year of participation
- A monthly package of sex toys to try (worth up to $250)
- An affiliate code for 20% off to share
- To be part of the creative process and product design
Who can apply for the Lovehoney Orgasm Board?
All adults 18+ older living in the US and Canada are eligible to participate by filling out an online application beginning Monday, May 1. Additionally, the brand will make a pit stop in 16 locations across the US and Canada throughout the month to party and promote solo play; interested participants are able to sign up for potential inclusion at one of the events.
And while we're on the topic of self-pleasure, be sure to take a look at sexperts answered to the most Googled masturbation questions. They insist these Qs are not taboo, and the act is encouraged.
"How you approach this depends on what makes your body feel good," Sarah Riccio, the owner of Delicto.com, previously told us. "Masturbation provides an opportunity to learn about your own body and sexual desires without the complications that can occur when with a partner."
