Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song just had a baby—and fans are freaking out

Congratulations, Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song! The Home Alone star and The Suite Life’s London Tipton herself have announced that they’ve welcomed their first child. For millennials around the world—with the '90s fashion nostalgia to boot—the news has left us baffled, feeling very old, and asking: “Wait, when did they even start dating?”

The couple announced the birth of their baby on April 5th, telling Esquire that their son was healthy and happy and that they are “overjoyed”. They also revealed they have named their baby boy Dakota, after Culkin's late sister. 

Macaulay Culkin is perhaps one of the most famous child actors, known for his role as Kevin McCallister in the beloved Home Alone Christmas movies, as well as for Richie Rich, My Girl and American Horror Story. Brenda Song was also a child actor who famously starred in the Disney Channel show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, as heiress London Tipton.

It’s therefore no surprise that this news has left many fans freaking out over two of their childhood favorites being grown enough to have a child together, and how we all missed that they were even a couple.

When did Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song start dating? 

The couple were first linked in 2017, when they were both on the set of the film Changeland. Romance rumors quickly sparked after they were spotted holding hands. 

In 2018 they were linked again when Culkin said on Joe Rogan’s podcast that he wanted to start a family with Song soon and that they had already started “practicing” (TMI!).

They have also appeared on each other’s Instagram accounts over the past few years. Song has previously said they bonded over both being child stars.
