00s icons Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen have their very own documentary and it's free to watch
Wait a NY minute! 'The Twins' Documentary—did we read that right?
If you grew up with 2000s TV shows and live for Y2K fashion, then we’ve got some good news for you. ‘The Twins’ documentary is a brand new release brought to us by WePresent all about *drumroll please* Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen—and it’s free to watch!
Yep, the big sisters of Elizabeth Olsen—who stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Scarlet Witch in the likes of Wanda Vision and Dr. Strange: the Multiverse of Madness—are the subject of a brand new mini-documentary.
Mary-Kate and Ashley have become synonymous with the fashion industry thanks to their effortless ‘cool-girl’ vibes—but are also noughties legends that have fascinated a generation ever since they melted into very enigmatic lives following their childhood acting success.

‘The Twins’ is currently out now on WeTransfer's digital platform WePresent and offers a fresh perspective on their lives—hosted by Olsen fan Zara Meerza.
The doc focuses on everything from their entertainment impact to Y2K culture and will explore our relationship with the twins themselves.
As Zara explained in an interview with the platform when it comes to celebs and social media, there is no mystery anymore—we know everything there is to know about their lives but the Twins are a different story. She says that our relationship with them is, “an old-school form of fandom that doesn’t really exist anymore. We only can get what they choose to give us; it’s not like we can seek things out."
Zara also added: “Our communal love for the twins is quieter and chicer, a refined mass-hysteria so different from the usual dizziness of modern stan-dom.”
Where to watch 'The Twins' Documentary
We’ve got even more good news—the documentary is just 12 minutes long, so you can get your Olsen Twin’s fix on your lunch break and you can watch it for free right here…
It’ll definitely make for some nostalgic and emosh viewing for all you ‘It Takes Two’ or ‘New York Minute’ fans—as Zara says: “Perhaps at the end of the day, we’re all Mary-Kates looking for our Ashleys.” That quote will now live in our heads rent-free forever.

Before working for Future Publishing’s Lifestyle News team, she worked in the Ad production team. Here she wrote and designed adverts on all sorts of things, which then went into print magazines across all genres. Now, when she isn’t writing articles on celebs, fashion trends, or the newest shows on Netflix, you can find her drinking copious cups of coffee, drawing and probably online shopping.
