Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are engaged—here's how the punk-rocker popped the question

We’re in for a year of PDA-filled weddings as Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have just announced they’re engaged! Joining the likes of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, the couple is taking their steamy relationship to the next level—and just wait until you see the birthstone ring.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were all over our feeds in 2021, from packing on the PDA on red carpets to sharing with us their real fascination with each other’s ‘flesh and blood', and it seems 2022 will be a similar story, just with wedding bells.

Megan shared the news to her Instagram, with a video of the very moment MGK popped the question. In the clip, we see them standing underneath a banyan tree—which Megan reveals is the place they ‘asked for magic’ in 2020.

MGK then drops to his knee, pulling out a ring and Megan putting her hands over her mouth in shock. She then drops to the ground, puts the ring on and they share a kiss.

Now it wouldn’t be the couple we’ve come to love if they didn’t also include a slightly bizarre caption...

Megan wrote: ”In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree, we asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.

“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.”

She then ended it with: “…and then we drank each other’s blood.”—Naturally!

This last sentence caused a bit of stir, with one fan commenting: “wait what?” and another writing, “The end of the caption pls💀.”

MGK also shared an engagement video to his own feed, but of the incredible two-band ring that he has designed for Megan. He revealed that the two rings featured their birthstones, Megan’s an emerald and his a diamond—an idea we’re actually obsessed with.

He then wrote that they were, “set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love.” 

Among the many famous names to congratulate the pair, Kourtney commented a string of heart emojis, with Kim K saying: ”So happy for u guys!!!! 💍 😍♥”

Travis also commented on MGK’s post with: “F*** YESSSSS 🖤”
