If you didn’t see it, Nicola Coughlan’s BAFTA dress was a full-on hot pink dream and truly fit for ‘Ton’s’ Queen of gossip, as Lady Whistledown brought her A-game to the BAFTA awards by wearing this season's trendiest color.
The Bridgerton star stepped out alongside fellow co-stars and Netflix alums—including Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa, whose just been announced as the next Doctor Who!
Yep, Gatwa will be the new owner of the Tardis and will soon be galavanting across time and space as the latest BBC Time Lord.
The show announced the news on Twitter writing: “The future is here! Ncuti Gatwa is the Doctor.” The only downside to this joyous news is that we may see Gatwa exit Sex Education—we don’t know about you but Sex Ed just wouldn’t be the same without Eric!
Regardless, the BAFTAS were no doubt a moment of huge celebration for the actor—and he got us right in the feels as he posed with Coughlan.
The pair held hands as they posed for pictures, with Gatwa wearing a seriously cool fit from Orange Culture, while also rocking a new bleach-blonde look.

As you can probably tell from the hot pink shade, Coughlan wore a stunning Valentino Gown.
Hot pink has become synonymous with the brand this year, with the likes of Zendaya being spotted in a pink Valentino suit and Sebastian Stan and Glenn Close representing the brand in pink at the Met Gala.
Infact nearly the entire Valentino Autumn/Winter 2022 collection was fuchsia pink and it looks like Summer may be no different—so gear up to see a lot of it on the streets!
Oh and speaking of the Met Gala, Coughlan rocked the red carpet again with her Featherington-inspired Richard Quinn Met Gala gown. That makes two incredible pink dresses in one month—she spoils us!
