We *finally* know who Rory Gilmore's baby daddy is
Has the Rory Gilmore baby daddy mystery been solved? 'Gilmore Girls' has kept us on a cliffhanger for years, but now we're getting closure
The Rory Gilmore baby daddy mystery has been going on for seven years after the last four words of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life famously shocked us all:
Rory: Mom?
Lorelai: Yeah?
Rory: I'm pregnant.
Since 2016, we've been speculating about the iconic TV character's love life and the identity of the father of her child. It's been especially frustrating knowing that another Gilmore Girls reunion might not necessarily happen, and we'll be forced to live with the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers.
But then, Valerie Campbell, the costume supervisor of our go-to nostalgic TV show, swooped in to give us the scoop we've been waiting for. We salute you, Valerie.
"Amy [Sherman-Palladino] herself said, 'Why are people even questioning who the father is?' It's because it was supposed to be very, very, very, very, very obvious," Campbell said.
Well, she's certainly gotten our attention!
Rory Gilmore baby daddy mystery: who's the father?
"The only obvious choice is—you guessed it—Logan," Campbell revealed in a TikTok.
This confirms our suspicions, but for those who are still not 100% convinced that Rory's preppy college boyfriend is the child's pop, Campbell breaks down the reasons why it cannot be anyone else but him.
Paul, Rory's "beaux" in the Winter episode, was barely a thought to her.
"She definitely forgot to break up with that guy. But...she definitely wasn't sleeping with him," Campbell said.
If that random Wookie was the father, it would've been more obvious throughout the reunion.
"If it was the Wookie, she would definitely be showing and we never gave her a pregnancy belly," Campbell adds.
Naturally, TikTok users were quick to chime in with their response.
"I knew it was Logan's baby! Why? Because of the way she talked to her dad prior to telling her mom," one user wrote.
Another hilariously chimed in: "It's Kirk." (Could you imagine?!)
While we cannot necessarily say we're surprised with Campbell's reveal, this in no way means we're done with Stars Hollow. We're always ready for a return, with a cup of coffee in hand. Stars Hollow will always be our home away from home!
