Sarah Jessica Parker has a hidden winter warmer hack and we can’t get enough of it.

It’s that time of year when we're constantly wearing our thickest coat on repeat or our best comfy loungewear for winter

And with a wardrobe full of delightful jackets featuring all the latest styles and materials, we’re thinking we'd love to wear them if only it would get warmer.

Well, fear not for SJP has a brilliant way of wearing any of your favorite jackets without feeling the cold...

Sarah was spotted wearing a Gerard Darel coat, but if you look closely at her outfit you will see that beneath it, she is wearing an ultra-thin, lightweight puffer vest

And she’s not the only one who is a fan of layering. Katie Holmes previously told InStyle, “I think layering is the trend. I have a black, skinny puffer from Uniqlo, and you can put it underneath a big wool coat.”

Sarah and Katie’s secret-puffer strategy has got us thinking we need to buy one asap. A perfect hack for those blizzard-like temperatures and even worth a go when you want to wear a light jacket but need to boost its warmth factor.

Ultra-light, ultra-warm. The sleek design can also be worn as an inner layer. It features durable, water-repellent coating, anti-static lining, newly updated design with an even more comfortable, contoured silhouette. The two-way collar can be converted to a V-neck to stay hidden under a coat. Meanwhile, its smart pocketable design can be stored in the carrying pouch which attaches to the inside loop on the left. All this choice for just $29.90 / £21.88.

And even when spring does start to arrive, why not tailor the technique by wearing a denim jacket under a cardigan like Katie does here...

With no added bulk when layering up, you won’t have to feel, nor look like, Joey in Friends – remember when he wore all of Chandler’s clothes in The One Where No One’s Ready episode? Point proved.

And if you suddenly get super hot while rushing around doing errands, simply take it off and compress it down into a packable size perfect for your purse, without costing the earth.
