I tried the new Coco & Eve Sweet Repair hair mask that promises to restore chemical and color-damaged hair and these are my honest thoughts.
If you don’t know, Coco & Eve is a cult-favorite beauty brand that does all things hair care and even tanning products. The brand is known for its delicious scents and clean, dreamy ingredients and has now introduced a new mask into its haircare family.
Meet the Coco & Eve Sweet Repair mask, that’s formulated with Biometric ceramides, Hyaluronic acid and packed full of fruity goodness.
And while the packaging and scents promise all good things, I have been putting it to the test for weeks and can confidently say—I’m in love. But before I get into my review, let's talk about the formula and my hair type…
Coco & Eve Sweet Repair hair mask review
What’s in the Sweet Repair Mask and how do you use it?
The mask is formulated with Biomimetic Ceramide, to reinforce and smooth hair fibers as well as Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and nourish the hair and a Vegan Keratin Complex—to strengthen your locks. It also features a mix of Balinese Fruits, including Banana, Avocado and raw Virgin Coconut, hence the dreamy scent.

RRP: $34.90/£30.90
Along with the tasty ingredients, the mask promises to rejuvenate, strengthen and repair hair and is also; sulfate-free, vegan, silicone-free, cruelty-free, toxin-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, ethically sourced and PETA-approved—now that’s a list we like to see!
To use: simply shampoo your hair as normal, then towel dry it. Apply a generous amount of the Sweet Repair mask through your hair—leave for five to ten minutes and then rinse with warm water. Voilà, you’re done.
What’s my hair type?
My hair is relatively thick but sadly quite damaged. I have naturally straight, mousey brown hair but have been dying it since I was a teenager. I was ginger for several years and have now been blonde for two—getting my highlights re-done once every five to six months.
On a good day, my hair feels quite dry and is very tangly, on a bad day—well, I don’t want to talk about it but let's just say it’s not cute…that is until I tried the Sweet Repair mask.
My thoughts on the Coco & Eve Sweet Repair mask
As described, I have a complicated relationship with my hair and have tried pretty much every conditioner and serum to try and make it a little less brittle, to seemingly no avail. So I wasn’t expecting to love this mask at all, but boy, do I!
This mask is literally a self-care moment in a jar—not only is it adorable (the mask is even pink!) it smells like a summer dream.
It leaves your hair smelling fruity all day, unlike some of the shampoos and conditioners I’ve previously tried—and my hair has never felt softer.
At first, I was hesitant because I’ve always thought hair masks were a bit of a faff, but the beauty of this mask is that you only need to use it one to two times a week to feel its effect. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been using it on a slow Saturday morning and in the evening mid-week when I need a little me-time.
I am not exaggerating when I say that this mask made my hair the softest it’s probably ever been after my first use. I found it was easier to brush through and it actually stayed soft—for days.
My hair seems less tangly and my ends healthier and overall stronger. Weirdly I’ve also noticed that my hair doesn’t get greasy as quickly as before (this surprised me as I would have thought it would be the other way around.)
I used to wash my hair every other day but now I feel more confident leaving more days in between—maybe because my hair smells so damn good.

Another point in its favor is its value for money, a little goes a long way and you do get a lot of product for $30. I have used it more than five times and have barely made an indent.
This mask has really been a haircare gamechanger for me and I can safely say that I’ll be repurchasing this mask over and over again.
For me, it really did deliver on everything it promised, from strengthening to repairing my color-damaged tresses—I cannot recommend it enough!
