It's seriously glittery—maybe too much
This year we’ve all been leaning towards sunkissed, glowy skin which means a shimmery bronzer definitely fits the assignment—so I tried Fenty’ Beauty's Toast’D Swirl bronzer and these are my honest thoughts, as a self-proclaimed beauty obsessive.
I’d love to say I’m one of those gals who can get a natural tan, or even wear fake tan for that summary golden look. Alas, I’m that kind of opalescent pale where my skin is basically luminous in direct sunlight and burns very easily—so it's usually protected under layer upon layer of the best sunscreens.

That being said, I do love a bronzer to make my face look a little more healthy and glowy—which is why I have been vigorously testing Fenty’s shimmery offering, which is currently included in the Fenty Beauty Black Friday 2022 deals.
So, if you've been on the hunt for a new bronzer in the sales but aren't sure which product is worth the hype, perhaps I can tempt you with this Toast'D number...

Right now you can find some serious discounts on this bronzer in both the UK and the US.
This shimmer bronzer delivers high-impact, multi-dimensional radiance for your face and body. It's blendable and instantly gives your skin a sunkissed warmth. It's available in two dreamy shades; Chocolate Swiller and Pecan Swiller.
My skin type and makeup preferences
As mentioned, my skin is cool-toned and very pale—I’m shade number one in basically every foundation and concealer but to combat this ghostly look, I wear a lot of blush and a light sweeping of bronzer on the daily.
As far as my skin texture goes, I am lucky to have fairly clear skin, though it's on the sensitive and dry side—my face shape is oval.
I tend to lean towards minimal makeup, my usual routine consists of Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter, foundation, blush and mascara with my browns filled in and brushed up with Refy’s Brow gel. The Summer months are when I start to reach for my bronzers—but I prefer all my face products are blended and seamless.
How to apply the Fenty Toast'D Swirl Bronzer
I would suggest applying it where you want definition, you can either opt for the classic ‘3’ shape application—so forehead, cheekbone, jawline or go for a more contoured look.
If you're a fan of the 'sunburn' blush trend , buffing this bronzer onto your cheeks and over the bridge of your nose will give you a similar look, as if your initial sunburn has become a tan.
My verdict on Fenty’s Toast’D Swirl Shimmer Bronzer
This shimmery dream of a bronzer comes in two shades, Chocolate Swiller, a champagne bronze and Pecan Swiller—a more golden bronze and is designed for both your face and your body. I’m a sucker for a 2-in-1 so that’s already a point to the pro list.
So you can buff it under your cheekbone and around your decolletage—or anywhere for that matter and you’ll be left with a sun-kissed shimmer as if you’ve just returned from the beach.
I tested out the Chocolate Swiller and instantly loved how buildable it was. I was initially skeptical when opening the very cute, marbled lilac and gold compact because the ratio to bronzer and highlighter seemed way off—but as soon as I’d dabbed my brush in and applied it under my cheekbones, my fears were dispelled. The color payoff is immaculate.
I’d also like to take a minute for the compact itself, you get a generous amount of product for the price—plus a larger mirror which is perfect for your handbag!
The first layer of this bronzer gave me a healthy, diffused-looking glow—I tend to opt for the '3' shape. I did find though that because it’s so pigmented, it can be a little unforgiving. Once you’ve committed to the placement, it won’t blend away very easily.
The same goes for if you forget to tap your brush, once a lot is on your cheek, it won’t really budge. Although that is a good thing if you want your makeup to last all day!
The shimmer is really pretty and doesn’t create a weird grey cast as they often can, it perfectly blends with the chocolatey shade to give a radiant glow. The lighter shade is also perfect as just a highlighter, I started taking it on my pinky finger and applying it to the inner corners of my eye and well as my brow bones.
Overall I’ll say this shimmer bronzer is very pretty and great if you’re looking for a summer bronzer—however, it is very sparkly, so it might not be for every day. It can also go patchy if you use other cream products and does accentuate any dry patches which I didn’t love.
If like me, you’re more on the pale side—apply with care, as it can’t look slightly orange/ unnatural if you apply too much.
Besides that, it’s a great all-rounder—but I’m not sure I’ll be swapping it for my sunburnt blush look anytime soon.
